Reviews and updates traffic rules, regulations and parking fine structure as required. Supervises the Parking Support Specialist assigned to the parking program. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions: <ul><li>Responsible for ensuring the parking program meets state regulatory requirements.</li><li>Supports the parking program in compliance with College policy regarding parking and traffic controls.</li><li>Reviews and updates the traffic and parking rules and regulations.</li><li>Maintains the parking program database.</li><li>Maintains the issuance of parking permits.</li><li>Oversees the issuance of citations for violations of College rules and regulations.</li><li>Coordinates the parking appeals program.</li><li>Responsible for and provides assistance to the independent parking appeals committee.</li><li>Supports the Department of Public Safety event and security parking program.</li><li>Ensures that all parking event requests are completed.</li><li>Monitors fiscal compliance and updates the traffic and parking fines structure, as needed.</li><li>Updates parking and building maps for all college properties.</li><li>Ensures department compliance with Texas Education Code regulations.</li><li>Serves as department liaison for college departments, programs, and outside vendors/visitors for parking purposes.</li><li>Operates and conducts routine preventive maintenance on College vehicles; notifies appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance required.</li><li>Supervises Parking Support Specialist assigned to the parking program.</li><li>Processes requisitions and purchase orders for the Office of Safety and Security and the Surveillance Camera program.</li><li>Maintains accurate account of purchases made for reconciliation purposes for the Office of Safety and Security and Surveillance Camera program budgets. </li><li>Serves as Campus Security Authority.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul> Required Education and Experience <ul><li>Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.</li><li>At least two (2) years of experience in security and safety management required.</li><li>Experience in parking management, preferred.</li></ul> Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities <ul><li>Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, the Windows environment, and internet research skills.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of constituents both orally and in writing.</li><li>Ability to collaborate with external regulatory agencies, investigators, and consultants.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion and</li></ul>
