Under general supervision, provide assistance in enforcing parking regulations and guiding vehicular traffic for the District.Patrol assigned areas to issue written or electronic citations. Ensure designated parking is enforced in accordance to Board Policy 5.01.03. Assist Vehicle Registration department or dispatch during peak times with issuing parking decals and staff/faculty identification cards, answering telephones, radio, etc.Direct vehicles to their destination and assist with traffic control.  Control entrance and exit of vehicles at certain parking intersections as needed.Maintain daily activity log and generate reports. Assist with setting up roadblock equipment/reserving parking spaces.  Report hazardous conditions and situations through appropriate channels. Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:<ol><li> High School Diploma or equivalent and no experience required (candidate will receive on-the-job training).</li><li> Ability to enforce parking regulations tactfully, firmly and impartially, and interact with people courteously and professionally.</li></ol> <ol start="3"><li> Ability to follow oral and written instructions,  and react quickly and calmly in an emergency.</li><li> Ability to express clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.</li></ol>Special Conditions:<ol><li> The El Paso Community College is building a pool of Applicants for part-time staff positions. Summary:Under general supervision of the Parking Supervisor, responsible for overall supervision of parking operations during events encompassing efficient daily operations and activities in all Legends Global parking facilities. Administers the operational facet of the division by ensuring staff preparedness for opening and closing the garages, collecting revenue, resolving problems, receiving and disseminating information and instructions, preparing reports, overseeing money, ensuring internal and public safety by performing the following duties personally and through subordinate personnel.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInclude the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.<ul><li>Train parking staff in established facility and companywide policies and procedures to include but not limited to; enforcing personnel rules and regulations, standards of conduct and work attendance, safe work practice enforcement, proper use of equipment and technology, proper garage use, required maintenance of all facilities and securing of all parking facilities</li><li>Maintain positive public relations and act as liaison for the department presenting a favorable image of the department and the organization as a whole</li><li>Handles customer complaints and inquiries</li><li>Provide general tourist and event information or other routine information to patrons and general public</li><li>Financial responsibility for strict procedures and controls of all monies received to include but not limited to: accuracy in cashier sales, proper reconciliation of sales with ticket inventory sold by each cashier, proper preparation and verification of daily deposits, scrutiny for determent of cash shortages or losses.</li><li>Audit of prior day's activity to include but not limited to: correlation of cash recorded to cashier sales, car counts, ticket sales, car storage, monthly parking, special parking, parking rates, deposit and drop and overview of accuracy of Parking Report.</li><li>Ensure compliance and provide required reporting and billing with land lease agreements, parking agreements, and other agreements as applicable to parking operations and developing contract parking agreements</li><li>Monitor parking staff to ensure proper ingress and egress of traffic during events including periodic patrolling of parking areas to deter theft and vandalism</li><li>Formulates short and long range plans for departmental regulations and improvements</li><li>Monitors and maintains inventory of supplies and equipment using Just In Time analysis or the like</li><li>Ensure Shipping and Receiving complies with cataloging and verification of special equipment and supplies ordered by various departments</li><li>Provides general maintenance and upkeep of parking equipment</li><li>Perform various clerical tasks to include but not limited to: sort and organize files, good record keeping, daily reconciliation and verification of change fund, prepare daily activity reports on computer, inventory of assigned ticket stock, supplies, and staff leave requests.</li></ul>Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises employees in the Parking Department including full-time and part-time cashiers and parking attendants. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with legends Global policies and applicable laws.
