Close out of month-end and year-end close processes· Maintain appropriate financial controls and support compliance with company policies and applicable requirements· Support internal and external audits and financial information requests· Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, controls, and automation· Provide financial analysis supporting strategic and operational initiatives· Manage and develop finance staff, where applicable· Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Sales, and other business functions· Perform other finance-related duties and special projects as assignedHEALTH AND SAFETY· Work in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Subsurface Energy Resources· Be aware of any health and safety hazards or infractions and report same to Health and Safety DepartmentRELEVANT COMPUTER APPLICATIONS· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills· Adobe Acrobat· Accounting ERP systems (JD Edwards beneficial, but not required)QUALIFICATIONS· Bachelor's or Honors degree in Accounting· 3-5 years financial managerial experience, managing finance and operational staffSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES· Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reporting· Experience managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and other finance processes· Sales and Use tax filings experience· Strong understanding of financial statements and financial performance metrics.· ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGENERAL DUTIES· Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes· Review and Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Functions· Perform Bank Reconciliations across the entity· Review Payroll and process entries· Prepare sales and use tax filings· Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results· Perform budget-to-actual, forecast-to-actual, and year-over-year variance analysis· Develop financial models for project and overhead analysis· Monitor revenue, expenses, margins, profitability, cash flow, and key performance indicators.·
