Physical TherapistLocation: Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing at BeaconSHIFT: Full Time |Part Time | Per Diem Pay $45.00/hour to $52.24/hour (depending on experience)Sign-on Bonus: Up to $3,000 for Full Time | Up to $1500 for Part TimeJOB DESCRIPTION:Physical Therapist Floats work with patients to improve their movement and manage their pain. PTs use a variety of techniques to help their patients, including hands-on therapy, strengthening and stretching exercises, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, ice/heat, and much more. RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Conducting physical and psychological assessments of clients to understand their physical condition and developing or following a treatment plan.</li><li>Participate in family care plan meetings and educate caregivers and family members of clients on patient care</li><li>Creating personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients.</li><li>Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility.</li><li>Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals regarding patient.</li><li>Documenting patient care history.</li><li>Demonstrate ability to work with geriatric residents</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>New York State Physical Therapist licensure</li><li>Degree in Physical Therapy from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Associtation (APTA) required</li><li>CPR certification</li><li>Physical strength to lift between 50-100lbs</li><li>Must have knowledge, skills, and techniques of age specific developmental factors and be able to evaluate patients</li><li>Must have up-to-date knowledge for treatment practices and physical therapy programs</li><li>Experience in long term care preferred</li><li>Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable</li><li>Strong customer service skills and compassion</li><li>Able to collaborate with a wide range of health care disciplines, as well as offer insight to patient and family members</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Respect for residents’ privacy and rights; display of genuine concern and empathy for the elderly</li><li>Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness</li></ul>What We Offer:<ul><li>Competitive pay.</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance.</li><li>Paid time off and holidays.</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and development.</li><li>A supportive and welcoming team environment.</li></ul>Join our team and be part of a community that cares!
