Skills needed include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, 12-lead ECG, IV starts and PICC management, blood products, emergency medications, procedural sedation, cardiac drip titration, acute stroke management, BiPAP/CPAP management, assisting with chest tube insertion and removal, and phlebotomy. Duties: Care for CHF, post heart catheterization, post vascular procedure, respiratory failure (BiPAP/CPAP/Vapotherm) and cardiac dysrhythmia patients - post-cath care, TR bands, post-vascular monitoring and frequent vital sign and neurovascular checks.
