Effectively manage and address labor relations issues, including to provide for the selection, training, professional development and work evaluation of department staff; authorize discipline as required; provide policy guidance and interpretation to staff; ensure that laws, ordinances, schedules, the Collective Bargaining Agreements and policies are consistently enforced. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk, run, climb up and down, jump, tackle, talk and hear; use hands and extremities to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
