The Back of the House Staff is responsible for assisting with the production of bakery items, ensuring product quality, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. The Baker I works under the guidance of senior bakers to prepare high-quality baked goods, following established recipes and standards. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work effectively within a team.Production Support<ul><li>Assist in preparing doughs, batters, and fillings according to specified recipes and instructions.</li><li>Ensure accurate scaling, measuring, and portioning of ingredients.</li></ul>Baking and Preparation<ul><li>Operate ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment under the supervision of senior bakers.</li><li>Bake and monitor products to ensure they meet quality and consistency standards.</li></ul>Quality Control<ul><li>Conduct regular checks for product quality, adjusting baking times and temperatures as needed.</li><li>Report any inconsistencies or quality concerns to the Head Baker.</li></ul>Inventory and Stocking<ul><li>Monitor ingredients and supplies, ensuring that stock is adequately maintained and rotated.</li><li>Notify supervisors of any shortages or necessary reorders.</li></ul>Cleanliness and Maintenance<ul><li>Keep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.</li><li>Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.</li></ul>Team Collaboration<ul><li>Work collaboratively with other BOH team members to ensure a smooth production process.</li><li>Communicate effectively to maintain workflow and meet production schedules.</li></ul>Job Requirements & Skills:<ul><li>Basic knowledge of baking techniques and procedures.</li><li>Familiarity with kitchen equipment and safety protocols.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and consistency.</li><li>Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.</li><li>Prior experience in a bakery or commercial kitchen environment is preferred but not required.</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Health, Dental, Vision Insurance and EAP (Employee Assistance Program)</li><li>401(k) Retirement Plan with up to 5% match </li><li>Life Insurance and AD&D (Accidental Death & Dismemberment) </li><li>BTA Insurance (Business Travel Accident Coverage)</li><li>Paid-time off (PTO) and Paid-sick leave (PSL) </li><li>Celebration & Condolence Benefits</li><li>Holiday Gift Certificates </li><li>FSA (Flexible Spending Account) </li><li>DCFSA (Dependent Child Care Spending Account)</li></ul>** All benefits are based on company policyPay Rates: $18 ~ $20Store Hours: 9AM - 8PM
