Direct Support Professional (DSP) Location: Angola,  IN, USA Hourly Rate: $17.18 - $19.00 (including a $1.82 weekend shift differential) Type: Part Time and Full TimeJob Summary: Are you passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities? DSPs play a crucial role in assisting individuals to become active participants in their communities by leveraging their strengths, interests, and abilities. This position involves providing support in various settings, which may include personal care, daily living activities, job coaching, skill development, advocacy, and communication assistance, all aimed at helping individuals achieve their personal goals.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist individuals with daily living skills such as budgeting, cooking, and personal hygiene.</li><li>Support individuals in participating in activities at home and within the community.</li><li>Implement and document program plans as directed by the Residential or Community Living Manager.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>A genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.</li><li>Supportive personality with a strong work ethic.</li><li>No previous experience required; we offer comprehensive training.</li><li>Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.</li><li>Ability to safely transport individuals and work in a Human Services setting with favorable background screens.</li></ul>Schedule & Benefits:<ul><li>Flexible and traditional work schedules available for full or part-time positions.</li><li>Opportunity to work three days a week with full-time benefits if available for one day on the weekend.</li><li>Excellent benefits package for full-time (30 hours) employees, including:

Headquartered in Battle Creek, we proudly serve Branch, St. Joseph, Berrien, Kalamazoo, Barry, Eaton, and Calhoun counties.In This Role You Will:<ul><li>Deliver Exceptional Care: Maintain high clinical standards while providing basic life support, including CPR, airway management, oxygen application, bleeding control, and splinting.</li><li>Ensure Safe Transport: Safely operate ambulances and manage patient handling, including proficient stretcher operations, lifting, and loading.</li><li>Provide Compassionate Service: Treat patients, family members, and facility staff with the utmost respect, providing both emergency and convalescent care.</li><li>Collaborate Professionally: Work under hospital-approved medical protocols and cooperate effectively with a diverse range of healthcare partners and co-workers.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Licensure: Current State of Michigan EMT License.</li><li>Education: High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Certifications: Valid CPR certification.</li><li>Driving Record: Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.</li><li>Physical Ability: Physically capable of lifting and moving patients and carrying heavy medical equipment.</li><li>Vetting: Ability to pass a company-sponsored background check, drug screen, and physical.</li><li>Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Advanced Certifications: PHTLS or ITLS certification (Note: PHTLS training can be provided upon hire).</li><li>Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress environments.</li></ul> Benefits & IncentivesWe invest in our people.
