On occasion you may have the opportunity to work with other products from other companies in the stores that you service.  SALARY AND SCHEDULE DETAILS<ul><li>Your starting hourly pay rate will be $16.00 to $18.00 depending on your skills and experience.</li><li>We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands-on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.</li><li>Hallmark part time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision etc.  </li><li>Eligible Employees receive annual pay increases.</li><li>This is a Part-Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.</li><li>Average weekly hours for this position are between 7-9 hours per week.</li><li>Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends is required.  </li><li>Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.</li></ul>YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE  You'll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is also vital for success in this role.  You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores. </li><li>Holiday support: Hallmark's operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you can expect additional days and extended hours during the work week. On occasions like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Father's Day, you may be required to work on the actual holiday itself, which may include the weekend.</li><li>Department Resets: At times, you may be part of a team responsible for installations and various tasks like building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, as well as resetting card sections. Typically, you will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments. As a Bartender, you’re responsible for servicing guests and preparing beverage orders and courteously and efficiently serving food and beverages to guests in the food and beverage outlets including the restaurant, bar and outlets. Position Summary As a Bartender, you’re responsible for servicing guests and preparing beverage orders and courteously and efficiently serving food and beverages to guests in the food and beverage outlets including the restaurant, bar and outlets.  Responsible for maintenance of bar area and support the restaurant food servers, bartenders, and cocktail servers.  Essential Functions <ul><li>Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bars and restaurants, in accordance with service standards. </li><li>Anticipate Guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all Guests, making recommendations from guests’ preferences. </li><li>Take Guests’ food and beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques. </li><li>Complete opening duties as assigned, including check quality and quantity of all bar stock and supplies using checklist. </li><li>Requisition all necessary supplies and transport from storeroom to bar. </li><li>Set bar according to service standards. </li><li>Set up all condiments (garnishes, juices, etc.) and beverages according to standards. </li><li>Prepare all fresh fruit garnishes according to service standards. </li><li>Ensure a sufficient supply of all flatware, glassware, and chinaware for service. </li><li>Ensure cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas. </li><li>Set upside stations with supplies and equipment. </li><li>Record orders of guests into the point-of-sale system and receive payment following service procedures. </li><li>Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies. </li><li>Open wine/champagne bottles and serve in accordance with service standards. </li><li>Retrieve food orders from kitchen. </li><li>Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. </li><li>Guide the activities of the bar back to ensure optimum service to Guests. </li><li>Remove soiled wares from bar.  Clean and wipe down bar immediately after Guest departs. </li><li>Collect and report tips at the end of the assigned shift. </li><li>Complete closing duties and reports as assigned and leave duty after reporting to supervisor or Manager on Duty. </li><li>Must be TIPS and Food Safety certified as required. </li><li>Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards. </li><li>Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operations. </li><li>Follow safety and security procedures. </li><li>Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team. </li><li>Adhere to attendance and reliability standards. </li><li>Follow all additional duties as assigned by management. </li></ul> Skills and Abilities <ul><li>Understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel. </li><li>Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision. </li><li>Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently. </li><li>Must be able to speak and understand and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace. </li><li>Must possess excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills. </li><li>Must have the ability to push, pull bend, squat and lift on a regular basis.    </li><li>Safety requirements of PPE as needed for duty assigned and with use of required tools and equipment. </li><li>Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up. </li><li>Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment. </li><li>Follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. </li><li>Knowledgeable and ensure compliance of all state liquor regulations. </li><li>Knowledgeable of beverages, recipes and correct glassware and garnishes. </li></ul> Job Qualifications/Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalence required Experience: Minimum 1 year experience as a barback or bartender in a hotel or restaurant. Additional: Must be at least 21 years of age.
