The Certified Nursing Assistant Opportunity:Under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides high-quality, person-centered care to residents of Mount View Care Center. The CNA supports residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitors and reports changes in condition, contributes to maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, and promotes resident dignity, independence, and choice. This role serves as a key member of the interdisciplinary care team and ensures a respectful, homelike atmosphere for all individuals in the nursing home. Compensation and Benefits:<ul><li>The starting pay range for this role is $20.69 - $23.50, based on experience,  plus $1.50 shift differential for 2:00pm - 10:00pm hours worked and $2.50 for all 10:00pm - 6:00pm hours worked. </li></ul><ul><li>We have full-time and part-time shifts available, which include weekdays, weekends and holidays.</li><li>Full-time and part-time positions open. Shifts are  2:00pm – 10:30pm or 10pm-6:00am</li></ul><ul><li>PTO, paid holidays, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, on-site bistro and cafeteria, pharmacy, newly updated facility, life insurance, accident insurance, hospital insurance, employee assistance program, and more.</li><li>As a full-time employee of NCHC, you would be eligible for the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is a hybrid defined benefit plan. It contains elements of both a 401(k) or defined contribution plan and a defined benefit plan. Participating staff contribute 7.2% and NCHC will match this at 100% each pay period!</li></ul> What Qualifies You:Required: <ul><li>Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry.</li><li>Ability to lift and support residents safely.</li><li>Computer literacy, which includes electronic medical records.</li></ul> Preferred: <ul><li>More than 2 years of experience in long-term care of a nursing home setting.</li></ul>            In evaluating candidates for this position, North Central Health Care may consider a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position.   What a Certified Nursing Assistant does at NCHC: <ul><li>Provide hands-on care with ADLs including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting/incontinence care, feeding, and mobility support.</li><li>Follow individualized care plans and ensure care is delivered in alignment with resident goals, preferences, rights, and safety needs.</li><li>Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning using gait belts, non-mechanical aids, and mechanical lifts (sit-to-stand, full-body lifts).</li><li>Provide restorative and range-of-motion exercises as assigned.</li><li>Answer call lights promptly and ensure timely, compassionate response to resident needs.</li><li>Assist residents with assistive devices, prosthetics, colostomy appliances, and adaptive equipment.</li><li>Support residents during mealtimes, including set-up, per-meal grooming, feeding assistance, documentation of intake, and ensuring nutritional safety.</li><li>Observe and report changes in resident physical, emotional, or cognitive status to the Licensed Nurse.</li><li>Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and interdisciplinary staff while maintaining professionalism and empathy.</li><li>Provide input to care conferences and document care accurately in electronic systems.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment including stocking supplies, making beds, and assisting with resident personal laundry.</li><li>Follow infection control protocols, including PPE use, hand hygiene, standard and transmission-based precautions.</li><li>Report equipment concerns, safety hazards, or resident rights issues immediately.</li><li>Support a calm, homelike atmosphere and assist in minimizing stressors for residents.</li><li>Protect resident belongings and promptly report missing items.</li><li>Ensure residents are free from abuse, neglect, and restraints.</li><li>Honor the residents’ right to refuse care and seek alternatives that respect autonomy.</li><li>Accurately document ADLs, intake/output, restorative care, and other assigned tasks in the electronic charting system prior to end of shift.</li><li>Attending required continuing education, mandatory meetings and complete annual competencies (minimum 12 hours per year).</li><li>Participate in onboarding and training of new staff members.</li><li>Maintain awareness of unit-specific needs, including ventilator care, dementia care, and end-of-life/hospice support.</li><li>Participate in emergency procedures, including identifying Dr. Codes, Security Alerts, and responding appropriately.</li><li>Assist with dining room setup, social engagement, and promotion of community-based activities.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>About North Central Health Care:Nestled in the heart of Central Wisconsin, North Central Health Care (NCHC) is a healthcare organization formed over fifty years ago as a partnership between three Central Wisconsin counties - Langlade, Lincoln, and Marathon. Follow all standard policies and procedures to help reduce shrink for the company.</li><li>Verify accuracy of customer loading utilizing RF unit outside loading application, as well as a physical count.
