Its schools have received 96 U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon Awards. This position will fulfill the need for support of the administrative and financial activities of the Parish and School operations. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Ability to handle all bookkeeping functions, including but not limited to:</li><li>Processes/posts accounts payable transactions and staff reimbursements in QuickBooks accurately and in a timely manner.</li><li>Prepares and posts bank deposits and electronic deposits to QuickBooks, including data from GiveCentral, Venmo, Payschools, Smart Tuition and Square platforms.</li><li>Assists with weekly collection counts.</li><li>Assists with finances related to fundraising events, pledge drives, Parish offertory collections and School Annual Fund.</li><li>Gathers Procurement Card Expense allocation reports from each cardholder on a monthly basis, and uploads Credit Card data to QuickBooks.</li><li>Assists with monthly journal entries.</li><li>Assists with reconciliation of Parish, School and Auxiliary bank accounts.</li><li>Assists with preparation of monthly financial reports and year- end reports (as requested) for management decision support.</li><li>Assists with preparing materials for Finance Council meetings.</li><li>Assists with bi-weekly UKG Timecard approvals, in preparation of payroll sign-off process.</li><li>Acts as backup Payroll Administrator (as needed).</li><li>Ensures proper internal controls are followed.</li><li>Utilizes Archdiocesan best practices.</li><li>Maintains files in an organized and timely fashion.</li><li>Purges files as indicated by Archives and Records’ guidelines.</li><li>Assist with office support tasks on an as needed basis.</li><li>Perform other responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul>Requirements: <ul><li>Minimum of Associate’s degree in Business or related discipline, e.g., Accounting preferred.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in Parish or business, or equivalent combination of relevant education and related work experience.</li><li>Basic knowledge of accounting practices and regulations and federal, state and city laws.</li><li>Demonstrate understanding, respect and support of the Catholic Church teaching, mission and values.</li><li>Strong demonstrated knowledge of QuickBooks Give-Central, UKG Payroll System and Microsoft Office products.</li><li>Excellent organizational and time management competencies.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communications, organizational, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to work in team environment and have a “Service Mindset” when working with others.</li><li>Ability to identify issues and propose recommendations/solutions.</li><li>High level of respect with regard to confidential information.</li><li>Strong drive to achieve results.</li></ul>The Archdiocese of Chicago offers a comprehensive total rewards package to include competitive compensation and benefit programs. This individual will work closely with the Pastor and Operations Director, while collaborating with the Principal and School Marketing & Development Director, to advance the parish’s mission through strategic communication, relationship-building, and fundraising initiatives.The Director will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive, year-round stewardship plan focused on storytelling, community engagement, and cultivating generosity.
