With strong knowledge of diets and a sense of urgency, you’ll help deliver meals that truly make a difference in patient care. What You'll Do<ul><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Delivers patient trays during meal service and delivers snacks or proper nourishment to patients. </li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Informs patients of the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department and may obtain food preferences from patients and/or family members. </li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Ensures accuracy of food items being delivered to the patient and informs the patient of meal selection and any therapeutic diet information. </li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Inventories and restocks goods and supplies to proper levels. </li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Ensures prompt response to a request for service and follows up if delays or other problems are identified. </li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Maintains the privacy, safety, and dignity of each customer by observing client confidentiality and by strictly adhering to safety and sanitation standards. </li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Provides excellent customer service and maintains a positive attitude towards clients, customers, co-workers, hospital staff, etc. </li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager.  </li></ul> What You Will Bring<ul><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. </li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods. </li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. </li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">ServSafe or State Food Handlers card required. </li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Experience in foodservice, as a dietary clerk, or in a related field preferred. </li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. </li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.</li></ul> Physical and Sensory Requirements<ul><li style="vertical-align:middle">This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks.
