The Acute Care Physical Therapist evaluates, plans, and administers physical therapy treatment programs for referred patients in the acute care setting, to restore function, give pain relief, and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part. Patient responsibilities include care provision for the patients below. Pediatric (2 months – 12 years), Adolescent (13-17 years), Adult (18-65 years), Geriatric (66+ years).JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Performs and documents initial patient evaluations thoroughly and accurately in a timely fashion.</li><li>Establishes realistic, attainable short-term and long-term goals with each patient.</li><li>Performs therapeutic exercises effectively and appropriately.</li><li>Implements, and revises as necessary, effective progressive treatment programs taking evaluative findings into consideration.</li><li>Administers therapeutic modalities and programs appropriately and effectively, including hot/cold pack, ultrasound, massage, electrical stimulation, whirlpool and wound care.</li><li>Fits assistive, prosthetic and orthotic devices and provides appropriate training.</li><li>Performs appropriate discharge planning, instructs patients and family member(s) in home programs.</li><li>Documents accurately, in a timely manner, including initial evaluation, progress notes and discharge summaries.</li><li>Provides on-premises supervision of Physical Therapist Assistants and aides.</li><li>Assists in orienting new staff Physical Therapists.</li><li>Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment and knowledge of growth and development appropriate to the age of the patient treated (neonate, pediatric, adolescent or geriatric).</li><li>May supervise PT and PTA students and observers as assigned.</li><li>Accurately bills patient’s accounts for services rendered.</li><li>Accepts responsibility of scheduling patients.</li><li>Attends multi-disciplinary meetings.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>Must be able to sit for up to ninety minutes at a time. </li><li>Be able to tolerate standing for thirty to forty-five minutes consecutively. </li><li>Must be able to use hands/fingers to manipulate dials on machines. </li><li>Must have the ability to lift/move patients up to 300 lbs., push/pull patients weighing up to 300 lbs. </li><li>Must have the ability to frequently stoop/bend, squat, crouch, kneel and reach above shoulder level. </li><li>Must be capable of tactile sensation as it relates to feeling for muscle spasms, texture and skin temperature. </li><li>Must have the ability to hear as it relates to normal conversation and ability to hear call bells. </li><li>Must be capable of seeing as it relates to general vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.</li></ul>EDUCATION/LICENSURE:<ul><li>Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Pennsylvania. </li><li>The Physical Therapist shall work within the practice guidelines as defined by Pennsylvania. </li><li>Doctorate Degree preferred.</li></ul> TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>Current CPR certification.</li><li>Successful completion of required affiliations and/or CEU’s to maintain licensure.</li></ul>Please complete your application using your full legal name and current home address.  Be sure to include employment history for the past seven (7) years, including your present employer.  Additionally, you are encouraged to upload a current resume, including all work history, education, and/or certifications and licenses, if applicable.  It is highly recommended that you create a profile at the conclusion of submitting your first application.  Thank you for your interest in St. Luke's!!<h2></h2><h2><a href="http://www.slhn.org/EOE" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">St. Luke's University Health Network is an</a><a href="http://www.slhn.org/EOE" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"> Equal Opportunity Employer.</a></h2>

To obtain the Instructor License, the employee must successfully pass all pre-requisite physical testing required for the Special Facilities Lifeguard License (swim test, brick test, water tread, etc.) as part of their Instructor Training. Summary: The Aquatics Supervisor will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the waterpark, including but not limited to Operations & Risk Management, Team Management, Administrative Duties, Guest Service, and Planning.

Education & Qualifications:         Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. A Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Management, Aquatics, Hospitality, or a related field is strongly preferred. A minimum of 1 to 5 years of experience in aquatic operations or waterpark management is strongly preferred, along with prior supervisory or leadership experience. Must be able to work 40–50 hours per week on a variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must have strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills, and be able to respond effectively to emergencies while maintaining professionalism. Knowledge of Ellis & Associates standards, safety regulations, and basic administrative functions such as scheduling, documentation, and payroll is preferred. Must maintain a neat appearance, be dependable, and work effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Certifications: Must possess or obtain within 6 months of start date: Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) or Certified Pool Operator (CPO). Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Instructor License (includes CPR, First Aid, and AED) The Lifeguard Instructor License serves as the Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Certification. Starting Pay Range: $18.26 – $21.17 per hour.Essential Functions:<ul><li>Supervise all aquatic attractions, including the kids pool, water slides, lazy river, wave pool, and splash zones.</li><li>Maintain all required certifications, including the Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Instructor License, and ensure training is delivered in accordance with E&A standards.</li><li>Monitor lifeguard zones and rotate staff to ensure consistent surveillance and guest safety.</li><li><ul><li>Ensure lifeguards are meeting/exceeding E&A Lifeguard Training Program Standards.</li></ul></li><li>Provide leadership and stability in responding to all incidents and emergency situations.</li><li><ul><li>Anticipate, recognize, and respond in a timely manner according to Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Program Standards.</li><li>Ensure proper documentation of all incidents and emergencies.</li><li>Contact Ellis & Associates in the absence of the Assistant Director of Aquatics.</li></ul></li><li>Visually monitor water quality and notify facility maintenance or the Assistant Director of Aquatics immediately of any concerns.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws, Child Labor Laws, Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations, Model Aquatic Health Code, Americans with Disabilities Act, and OSHA regulations.</li><li>Adhere to and ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.</li><li><ul><li>Maintain the facility and equipment, conduct hazard inspections, review/complete injury reports, recommend corrections, and ensure follow-through.</li></ul></li><li>Work in various weather conditions including sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, hail, and cold.</li><li>Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring seasonal team members.</li><li><ul><li>Attend recruiting and promotional events offsite as directed.</li></ul></li><li>Assist with the training, scheduling, and supervision of seasonal lifeguards and the aquatic leadership team.</li><li>Coach and develop team members by providing support while upholding company policies and values.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company and department policies/procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Department Manuals.</li><li><ul><li>Complete and review disciplinary actions as directed.</li><li>Re-train team members when necessary.</li></ul></li><li>Oversee the annual performance review process for all seasonal aquatics team members.</li><li>Manage departmental staffing, equipment, and inventory levels.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of department documentation including certifications, training logs, incident reports, and inspections.</li><li>Assist with updating department training presentations, policy/procedure manuals, and documentation forms.</li><li>Review and approve timesheets and manage payroll according to company policy.</li><li>Work collaboratively with Human Resources, Maintenance, and Guest Services.</li><li>Communicate effectively with team members and guests, providing friendly and courteous service.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service and handle guest inquiries or complaints related to aquatic operations.</li><li>Promote a safe, fun, and family-friendly environment.</li><li>Assist with the planning and execution of lifeguard training classes.</li><li><ul><li>Collaborate with the Assistant Director on training program development.</li><li>Process course registration requirements.</li><li>Teach lifeguard training classes.</li><li>Assist with transportation, setup, and teardown of training equipment.</li></ul></li><li>Coordinate ongoing in-service training and lifeguard audits.</li><li>Plan and develop company and department projects and events.</li><li>Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.</li><li>Report to and from work at assigned times.</li><li>Complete other duties as assigned.</li><li>Must be honest, reliable, and able to work in a team environment.</li><li>Provide ongoing support to co-workers.</li><li>Adhere to dress code policy.</li></ul>
