Current phlebotomy certification required (must have issue date and expiration date on certificate): Phlebotomy Technician (PBT)- American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC), Phlebotomy Certification (PC) – National Healthcare Certification Organization (NHCO) or Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)- National Performance Specialists (NPS). Phlebotomist must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served by his or her service, including all types of phlebotomy procedures.
