Initiates lifesaving measures as needed, i.e., opening an airway, ventilation using bag valve mask, hemorrhage control, chest compressions, stabilization of fracture, cervical spine alignment, etc. Assists in the maintenance and operation of the department by: Reporting defective/broken equipment to appropriate department for repair according to protocol, cleaning and stocking rooms, answering phones, retrieving or transporting supplies, etc.
