The Driver position is responsible for transporting trucks and trailers from point of origination to destination point by performing over the road driving skills. JOB SUMMARYThe Driver position is responsible for transporting trucks and trailers from point of origination to destination point by performing over the road driving skills.  Overnight stay may be required.QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)Education and/or years’ experience required:<ul><li>Must have a valid CDL driver’s license with exceptional driving record.</li><li>Current DOT medical certification.</li><li>Minimum five years heavy truck and trailer driving experience.</li></ul>Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.</li><li>Demonstrate good mechanical knowledge</li></ul>Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable): <ul><li>No supervisory responsibilities required with this position.</li></ul>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITES<ul><li>Safely transport trucks and trailers to required destinations.</li><li>Perform a thorough inspection for any damage when picking up trucks and trailers from other locations.</li><li>Ability to unhook and hook up trailers.</li><li>Monitor fuel levels and fill the tank when needed.</li><li>Complete vehicle safety checks per company policy and operates the vehicle within safety guidelines; immediately reports any safety concerns or company policy violations to management.</li><li>Adhere to work schedule and maintain regular attendance.</li><li>Performs Wallwork Inc.-wide duties as requested by the designated supervisor.</li><li>Upholds Wallwork Inc. ethical standards and demonstrate the behavioral and service expectations as defined in our policies and procedures.</li></ul> The above functions listed are intended to describe the major elements and requirements of the position and should not be taken as an exhaustive list of all essential responsibilities, duties, and skills required of the individuals assigned to this position.
