The Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading competitive sourcing initiatives, drafting and managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), analyzing supplier pricing and cost structures, and supporting contract negotiations to ensure best value and while maintaining quality, compliance and strong supplier relationships. Come join our team! The Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading competitive sourcing initiatives, drafting and managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), analyzing supplier pricing and cost structures, and supporting contract negotiations to ensure best value and while maintaining quality, compliance and strong supplier relationships. Responsibilities of Position:<ul><li>Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFP, RFQ, and RFI development and execution adhering to strict deadlines and key project dates</li><li>Analyze supplier pricing, cost models, and total cost of ownership</li><li>Support or lead contract negotiations in partnership with Legal and business stakeholders</li><li>Evaluate supplier proposals and develop award recommendations</li><li>Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements and sourcing strategies</li><li>Manage supplier relationships and support continuous improvement initiatives</li><li>Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contractual obligations</li><li>Negotiate pricing with suppliers</li><li>Draft agreements based on the Request for Proposal Requirements and Vendor’s Proposal</li><li>Assist with onboarding new vendors</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul> Supervisory Responsibility:<ul><li>This position will not manage employees</li></ul> Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:<ul><li>Strong pricing and financial analysis skills</li><li>Familiarity with procurement best practices and sourcing methodologies</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels</li><li>Possess strong, effective presentation skills</li><li>Must possess a high degree of confidentiality</li><li>Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible and cooperative</li><li>Strong Analytical Mindset with excellent negotiation skills</li><li>Self-motivated and capable of working independently</li><li>Exhibit strong computer skills, proficient in Windows applications, Microsoft Excel, Teams and Outlook</li></ul> Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in business finance or the equivalent of 4-5 years of Business Finance or Materials Management experience</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Procurement Specialist, Purchasing Agent, Buyer, or equivalent</li><li>Experience with ERP or procurement systems (SAP Preferred)</li><li>Experience drafting and managing RFP for a large variety of products/services and supplier evaluations</li><li>Experience supporting or leading contract negotiations</li></ul> Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday:<ul><li>Rarely lifting/carrying a max of 20 lbs</li><li>Rarely pushing/pulling a max of 10 lbs</li><li>Rarely working outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions</li><li>Rarely working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter</li><li>Continuously sitting</li><li>Occasionally standing/walking</li></ul> Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:<ul><li>Ability to travel between offices, as required</li><li>Legally eligible to work in the United States</li><li>Valid driver’s license (if applicable)</li><li>Must successfully complete pre-employment testing</li><li>Must be able to read and speak the English language</li></ul> This job description is intended to describe the general nature, complexity, and level of work to be performed by employees assigned to this position and is not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and/or skills required.
