This role oversees all sales and marketing initiatives for the full-service property, including group, transient, catering, and banquet sales. The DOSM will lead the sales team, foster strong client relationships, manage digital and traditional marketing campaigns, and ensure brand positioning aligns with the property's financial objectives.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesRevenue Strategy & Sales Execution<ul><li>Develop, implement, and monitor annual business plans, sales strategies, and marketing budgets to achieve or exceed revenue goals.</li><li>Analyze competitive sets, market trends, and pricing strategies (STAR reports, Agency360, etc.) to identify growth opportunities and optimize RevPAR and TrevPAR.</li><li>Direct the proactive solicitation of new business across key segments (Corporate Transient, Group, Entertainment, SMERF, and Leisure).</li><li>Collaborate closely with the Revenue Management team to optimize pricing, inventory, and distribution channels.</li></ul>Marketing & Brand Management<ul><li>Oversee the property’s overarching marketing strategy, including digital marketing, social media presence, public relations, and e-commerce initiatives.</li><li>Ensure all localized marketing materials, collateral, and promotional campaigns align with corporate brand standards and resonate with the Los Angeles market.</li><li>Manage relationships with external PR, advertising, and digital marketing agencies.</li></ul>Team Leadership & Development<ul><li>Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate a high-performing sales and catering team.</li><li>Establish clear performance metrics, KPIs, and booking goals for all sales managers, holding the team accountable through regular coaching and performance reviews.</li><li>Foster a collaborative environment between Sales, Revenue Management, Food & Beverage, and Rooms divisions to ensure seamless execution of events and guest experiences.</li></ul>Client & Community Relations<ul><li>Serve as the primary ambassador for the hotel within the local Los Angeles business community, CVB (Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board), and key industry associations.</li><li>Maintain active relationships with key accounts, meeting planners, and VIP clients to drive repeat business and long-term loyalty.</li></ul>Qualifications & Requirements<ul><li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.</li><li>Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive hotel sales experience, with at least 3 years in a Director-level capacity within a full-service hotel environment. The Coordinator, Consumer marketing Strategy supports the entire team with the day-to-day management of paid and contractual media campaigns including curating planning documents and decks, requesting and trafficking assets, attending status calls with the media agency and recommending optimizations and opportunities as they arise. Coordinate the development & execution of consumer marketing tactics for Hallmark Media priorities across all areas including paid media, email marketing, promotional partnerships, events, synergy initiatives, sweepstakes, partnership recaps, premiums, etc and other opportunities as they arise.

The Hallmark Media brand marketing team is seeking a coordinator to support their paid and contractual marketing efforts linear and SVOD platforms. The ideal candidate is extremely detail oriented, has a passion for organization and process, is comfortable working with other teams and is excited to be part of the evolving media industry. The Coordinator, Consumer marketing Strategy supports the entire team with the day-to-day management of paid and contractual media campaigns including curating planning documents and decks, requesting and trafficking assets, attending status calls with the media agency and recommending optimizations and opportunities as they arise. He/she also collaborates with the team on other marketing related projects and initiatives as needed. <h5>The hourly range for this job is between $21.01—$27.99. Hourly rate will take into consideration several factors including location.</h5> ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<ul><li>Coordinate the development & execution of consumer marketing tactics for Hallmark Media priorities across all areas including paid media, email marketing, promotional partnerships, events, synergy initiatives, sweepstakes, partnership recaps, premiums, etc and other opportunities as they arise.</li><li>Participates in campaign strategy, planning and reporting calls with the media agency for linear, SVOD and contractual marketing campaigns</li><li>Submit creative requests, manage creative spec sheet and approvals, traffic creative materials and track deadlines. Communicates and requests creative assets, works closely with the design and promo teams, as well as external creative agencies, to ensure high quality and accurate deliveries</li><li>Coordinate creative briefing process in conjunction with key internal and external stakeholders including managing tracking documents, planning timelines, incoming scripts, and updating briefs as needed.</li><li>Plan monthly email marketing calendar, requesting creative, testing and scheduling email marketing and push notifications campaigns in Sailthru. Track performance and proactively recommend testing opportunities.</li><li>Assist in developing monthly Linear and SVOD marketing priority outlines for creative development</li><li>Work with internal stakeholders to coordinate campaign research and prepare in-depth competitive research across multiple platforms</li><li>Contributes to post-campaign reporting and analysis discussions to identify key learnings, performance highlights and future optimizations</li><li>Schedule meetings with internal and external teams; update and distribute marketing communications such as status reports, agendas and meeting recaps.</li><li>Provide additional support across departmental marketing and administrative tasks as needed.</li><li>Contributing to executive decks and overview documents as needed</li><li>May include occasional travel.</li></ul> BASIC QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Undergraduate degree from a four-year college or university in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field</li><li>1-3 years of professional marketing experience within the entertainment industry and/or media agency experience, strong interest in entertainment marketing preferred</li><li>Passion for television and connecting with consumers in innovative and disruptive ways</li><li>Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills coupled with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across multiple departments</li><li>Enthusiastic self-starter with excellent analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills</li><li>Proactive, curious, detail-oriented, and proficient at juggling multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong attention to detail, organizational & project management skills and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while working under deadlines and exceptional follow-through skills</li><li>Ability to problem-solve/troubleshoot operational or business issues</li><li>Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, file sharing sites, streaming platforms & all social media platforms</li><li>Ability to travel overnight on occasion to support marketing initiatives</li><li>Must be able to handle confidential information and operate with the highest professional ethics </li></ul>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Experience in consumer marketing within entertainment and/or media</li><li>A desire to test and learn and are comfortable with ambiguity</li><li>A strong business and marketing acumen</li><li>Proven ability to seek out and analyze data, both internal and external, to bring fresh insights</li><li>Ability to interact and communicate professionally with management at different levels, internal and external audiences, and the ultimate Hallmark consumer</li><li>Possess a high degree of curiosity to find new, compelling ways to reach and communicate with consumers</li><li>Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and influence internal partners across a matrixed organization</li><li>Must personally commit to excellence in every aspect of work </li></ul>
