Position Summary: This position oversees the day-to-day operations of MPR|APM audio and video production, which includes supervising a team working on Minnesota Public Radio content. This position is part of our Media Production & Operations team which serves and collaborates with all the brands under MPR.This role will help facilitate change management as we evolve audio production workflows to include video capture, live switching & streaming, and video post-production as we advance distribution of our content across a variety of platforms. This will include helping to establish and enforce standards on visual style, framing, and placement of branding elements in our videos. This position will also help to standardize video production tools and workflows for consistency across all MPR|APM brands.This role is responsible for developing and maintaining ongoing training methods and strategies to ensure quality control and excellence in support of MPR|APM content, while providing leadership to foster a professional, creative, and technically savvy team.This position will collaborate with other Media Operations managers to schedule personnel and technical resources, coordinate remote recordings, studio sessions, live events, and broadcasts; while also serving as part of the team, functioning as a Technical Director when needed and backing-up team members on production work.Expected Compensation Range: $100-$110k per year. Implement and enforce policies, procedures and standards. </li><li style="text-align:justify">Maintain inventories in all departments according to budget guidelines and business needs. </li><li style="text-align:justify">Perform daily and weekly property inspections, ensures property, grounds, and work areas are maintained to standards, and that all safety equipment and conditions are up to code and Sand Hospitality Standards. </li><li style="text-align:justify">Manages the day to day staffing requirements of the hotel line-staff associates. Interviews and select Associates as needed. Provides effective orientation, training, coaching, evaluation, and motivation to associates.  Oversees and directs the work of the line-staff associates by assigning and delegating tasks.  </li><li style="text-align:justify">Identifies and communicates performance expectations as well as policies and procedures to front desk associates.  Works with the General Manager and Human Resources to deliver corrective action to associates if necessary.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Cultivates strong working relationships and communications with hotel staff, executive staff, and other departments to ensure maximum operation effectiveness and fulfillment of special event needs.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Ensures proper cash controls and other internal controls are in order to protect company assets by thoroughly training all associates on proper procedures.  </li><li style="text-align:justify">Leverages system-wide expertise and resources where possible in order to incorporate best practices and deliver services in a cost effective manner.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures as required to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and guests.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Keeps General Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken. </li><li style="text-align:justify">Manage Hotel in the absence of General Manager.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Performs all other duties as assigned.</li></ol> TOTAL REWARDS: Discover a full-time, fully benefited, exempt role with a competitive salary of $65,000-$75,000 (depending on experience).  This opportunity includes a comprehensive benefit plan that offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, voluntary life, AD&D, FSA, HSA, generous PTO, and a competitive 401(k) plan.
