This role oversees daily operations, maintains training and skill readiness, and drives performance to meet delivery, quality, and clean‑room standards. By coordinating closely with materials, engineering, and quality teams, the supervisor ensures resource availability, resolves production issues, and supports continuous improvement across the shift.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Supervises manufacturing personnel in the assembly areas.</li><li>Develops work schedules.</li><li>Hires, trains, and develops staff members.</li><li>Maintains a current training/skill matrix.</li><li>Oversees all production issues for a work group or shift.</li><li>Maintains a clean and safe work area to Clean Room standards.</li><li>Works closely with materials, engineering, quality, and other staff to ensure delivery schedules are met, parts are available as needed, and quality is maintained.</li><li>Effectively manages individuals and teams including performance management, conflict resolution, work scheduling, training, and successful accomplishment of delivery and quality objectives.</li><li>Completes manufacturing related projects as assigned.</li></ul>Other Duties<ul><li>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work effectively with operations and other groups to ensure that site delivery and quality issues are met.</li><li>Working knowledge of MRP/ERP applications; Visual preferred.</li></ul>Educational/Certification Requirement:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering discipline/equivalent preferred.</li></ul>Experience Requirement:Work Experience:<ul><li>2+ years’ experience in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry highly preferred.  Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment desired. Prior experience in cycle time, yield, or cost improvement projects desired.</li></ul>Management Experience:<ul><li> 1+ years supervisory experience in high-technology manufacturing required.</li></ul>Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Work Environment:<ul><li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</li><li>Work is performed primarily in an office and manufacturing environment.</li></ul>Physical Demands:<ul><li> Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.</li><li>Ability to stand for sustained periods of time.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.</li><li>Ability to move arms, hands, and fingers.</li><li>Ability to Talk on phone and use computer for extended periods of time may be required.</li></ul>Environmental Exposure:<ul><li>Works in a manufacturing area, with some changes of temperature, as well as throughout the premises.</li><li>Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals and debris.</li><li>Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.</li><li>May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computer etc.</li></ul>Overnight Travel:<ul><li>Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).</li></ul> Ultra Clean Technology is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
