Position DescriptionThe Private Equity Data & Reporting Specialist will join our Boston office as a member of the Research Operations team. The position serves as a critical link between the Private Equity Research team, Research Operations and the Client CIO team. This role is designed to ensure that private markets investment insights (across buyout, venture capital, growth equity, private real estate, co-investments, and secondaries) are clearly articulated, internally aligned, and efficiently implemented in client portfolios.The position is internally focused. The Senior Associate will form the “first line” for inbound inquiries to the private markets research team from client-facing teams, as well as responsibility for working cross-functionally to identify and implement improvements to team deliverables. The role requires knowledge of private markets investing, strong data literacy, the ability to synthesize complex strategies into clear internal messaging, and a collaborative mindset across functions.The Private Equity Data & Reporting Specialist is expected to develop a deep understanding of Partners Capital’s private markets investment philosophy, program structures, and portfolio construction frameworks, while contributing to the continuous improvement of internal communication, decision-making, and execution processes.Key Responsibilities Include:<ul><li>Acting as a central point of coordination between Private Markets Research and Client CIO teams to support the efficient implementation of private market investment recommendations including transmission of feedback to the research team and addressing queries from clients and Client CIO team members.</li><li>First-line support for inbound inquiries to the Private Markets research team. Ability to effectively query and synthesize data to support ad-hoc and/or recurring inquiries.</li><li>Close collaboration with the Private Markets Reporting function to ensure fit-for-purpose and timely data, including liaising between research and data functions to close manager data gaps</li><li>Ability to partner with research team members to translate investment considerations into clear, decision-ready materials for client consumption.</li><li>Supporting Client CIOs with quantitative portfolio construction considerations, including pacing, diversification, liquidity profiles, and exposure management.</li><li>Ownership of exposure data in internal systems and obtaining sign-offs for updates where appropriate. Identifying opportunities to improve and/or expand internal data sets and availability through additional fields or data sets.</li><li>Preparation, update and review of investment pipeline, commitments, exposure and track record data to support our private markets program, Board reporting, business development or other uses as needed with a high degree of accuracy and responsiveness.</li><li>Assisting in the preparation of marketing materials and portfolio reporting for use by clients, prospects or the business development team.</li><li>Identifying opportunities to improve internal workflows, documentation, and knowledge sharing related to private markets investments.</li><li>Building strong cross-functional relationships and developing a holistic understanding of the Firm’s investment and client service processes.</li></ul>The Private Equity Data & Reporting Specialist will play a significant role in continued development of the firm’s private markets investment program. The Senior Associate is expected to gain exposure to and have a full understanding of our investment process and to develop an understanding of all parts of the business.Key responsibilities may be assessed and are subject to change from time to time based on the needs of the business. The individual may be required to work overtime as needed.Additional responsibilities include:<ul><li>Responsible for ensuring all information security processes, policies and procedures are adhered to and any issues or concerns are raised with the Cyber Security team</li><li>Ensure full compliance with all local data protection regulations and privacy controls, and any related issues are raised via the appropriate channels</li></ul>Qualifications / AttributesRequired:The ideal candidate:<ul><li>Has a strong understanding of private markets investment strategies, commitment pacing and quantitative reporting</li><li>Is comfortable synthesizing complex investment concepts and communicating them clearly to internal stakeholders</li><li>Demonstrates high data literacy and a pro-active approach to identifying and closing data gaps to support enhanced reporting</li><li>Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple workstreams across teams</li><li>Energized by a fast-paced, collaborative environment that requires intellectual curiosity and sound judgment</li><li>Intellectually curious and energized by the prospect of solving business-wide operational challenges</li><li>4+ years of experience in private markets reporting, analytics, product strategy, portfolio management support, or a related role</li><li>Experience with S&P’s iLEVEL or similar private markets reporting platform. Understanding and ability to calculate IRR, multiples, quartiling and other fund-level quantitative assessments</li><li>Experience assessing embedded portfolio exposure and private company operating metrics preferred</li><li>Strong technical acumen, including advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large, complex datasets. Experience building or modifying analytical tools, models, or templates to support portfolio analysis and/or construction is a plus</li><li>Ability to interpret investment, exposure, and portfolio data and translate quantitative outputs into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders</li><li>Progress toward or interest in CFA, CAIA, or similar credentials preferred.</li></ul>Benefits and Compensation Partners Capital is committed to being a great place to work. This base salary range is specific to individuals applying to work in our Massachusetts office and takes into account a number of factors. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role in Massachusetts is $85,000 - $130,000. The base salary offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.The base salary is one element of our competitive compensation package. In this role, you will work with a team of engineers designing electrical and fire alarm systems for commercial, institutional, industrial, and multi-unit residential facilities. The salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 and is dependent on education, experience, location, and certifications/licensure.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>Applies technical knowledge to design solutions for complex and unique problems.</li><li>Electrical system design for distribution, power, fire alarm, and lighting for commercial and residential projects.</li><li>Manages multiple projects. </li><li>Uses many different equations, applications, and figures to ensure the proper procedure application, including electrical load and short circuit calculations</li><li>Perform existing conditions as-built documentation.</li><li>Coordinate with mechanical and plumbing engineers on projects.</li><li>Perform system evaluation and report generation.</li><li>Review submittals and perform final inspections on installations.</li><li>Ability to initiate, develop, and maintain mutually beneficial client relationships.</li><li>Understands and applies the National Electrical Code, NFPA 72, and MA State Building and Energy codes. </li><li>Coordination with other engineering team members.</li></ul>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, and CERTIFICATIONS:<ul><li>B.S. Electrical Engineering degree or higher.</li><li>P.E. Preferred but not required (must be able to obtain).</li><li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar/relevant position.</li><li>Electrical and fire systems design.</li><li>AutoCAD MEP and Revit experience strongly desired.</li><li>Familiar with the National Electrical Code, NFPA 72, and MA state building and energy codes.</li></ul>REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:<ul><li>The employee must be sharp, focused, and alert when conducting site inspections, speaking and interacting with clients, preparing written reports of findings, and testifying in deposition or trial. Clear vision and depth perception are also necessary.</li><li>Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Outlook, Word, and Excel.</li><li>Knowledge of electrical systems and designs for commercial, retail, and high-rise residential buildings.</li><li>Experience coordinating with disciplines internally as well as externally with consultants/architects.</li><li>Experience conducting and attending site visits, as well as preparing site reports.</li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDS, OVERTIME, and TRAVEL<ul><li>Physical Demands - Work will be performed both in an office setting and at outside locations (i.e., client’s office, industrial, construction, and/or residential sites). The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, climb ladders, bend, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and drive a motor vehicle to job sites. Employees may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employees must be sharp, focused, and alert when conducting site inspections, speaking, and interacting with clients, as well as preparing drawings and written reports. Clear vision and depth perception are also necessary.</li><li>Overtime - This position is classified as salaried with an exempt FLSA status. Regular working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with one hour for lunch. There will be periods where overtime will be required, which the employee will need to comply with in order to meet the demands of the position.</li><li>Travel Requirements - This position requires up to 25% travel.
