Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care for high-risk obstetric cases; assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries; monitor fetal heart rates with electronic fetal monitoring; support maternal and newborn assessments; respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns; assist with high-risk delivery procedures; manage postpartum care, including Lochia and perineum assessments; perform newborn care including eyes, thigh assessments, and injections; ensure adherence to AWHONN guidelines and protocols; document patient information accurately using EPIC electronic health records; and support interdisciplinary teams with ancillary services. This role involves providing specialized care during high-risk deliveries, functioning as a Baby Nurse, and supporting newborns and their mothers throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum.
