Position Title: Home Health RNOverview: The Staff Nurse is responsible for the nursing care prescribed and provided to Independent Living.<div> </div>Job responsibilities: <ul><li>Provides services in accordance with nurse practice act and state/federal nursing center regulations.</li><li>Participates in all staff development programs to expand and develop abilities.</li><li>Assist with the setup of pill boxes and Medication Administration for Independent Living residents under medication management by Home Health.</li><li>Provides medical treatments as ordered by physician.</li><li>Monitors residents’ Vital signs when requested and/or as necessary.</li><li>Administers treatments to residents, including but not limited to wound care, nebulizer treatments and injections.</li><li>Supports and maintains harmonious relations and communicates with family, visitors, and all members of the Health Team.</li><li>Understands the resident’s Advance Directives and follows his/her wishes.</li><li>Promotes and participates in the education of staff, team member, residents, and family.</li><li>Weekly visits with Home Health care residents to assure staff compliance with care and treatment of residents.</li><li>Assists with scheduling of lab work and X-rays under physician’s order.</li><li>Assist IL community with Alert response procedure, responds to IL activated alerts through telephone or radio from security or resident throughout shift for both emergency and non-emergency response occurrences.</li><li>Assist with On-call phone every other weekend as necessary.</li><li>Complete documentation as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.</li><li>Current license in the state of Florida.</li><li>Current CPR certification.</li><li>Geriatric nursing background preferred.</li></ul>Read Important Disclaimers and Authorizations: Please click <a href="https://santafeseniorliving.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/DisclaimersAuthorizations.pdf" rel="noopener nofollow noreferrer" target="_blank" title="SFSL Disclaimers and Authorizations">here</a> to open important information you need to know before applying to a position at SantaFe Senior Living, Inc. or one of its three affiliate communities; The Village at Gainesville; The Terraces at Bonita Springs; East Ridge at Cutler Bay.
