As a Security Officer at MCH, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment within the hospital premises. You will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing security protocols, responding to incidents, and collaborating with various departments to ensure the overall safety and well-being of everyone on site.<h2>Responsibilities:</h2> <ul><li>Guards hospital property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry</li><li>Patrols lobbies, corridors, and public rooms, confers with management, interviews guests and employees, and interrogates persons to detect infringements and investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalisms, and accidents.</li><li>Patrols public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment.</li><li>Examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.</li><li>Obtains assistance for accident victims and writes accident reports.</li><li>Assists management and enforcement officers in emergency situations</li><li>Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts. Warns or cautions careless persons.</li><li>Inspects equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred.</li><li>Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.</li><li>Sounds alarm or calls police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.</li><li>Permits authorized persons to enter property.</li><li>Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, for use of supervisory staff.</li><li>Performs engineering duties and sets thermostatic controls to maintain specified temperature in buildings or cold storage rooms. Tends furnace or boiler as needed.</li><li>Liaise with local law enforcement as needed and report incidents to the appropriate authorities.</li><li>Regulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic at campus entrance to maintain orderly flow.</li><li>Completes comprehensive mechanical checklist during off-shift hours.</li><li>Clears main walks and entrances of ice and snow for a continued period of time up to 40 minutes. Calls contractor for plowing and sanding as needed. SUMMARY Paragon Professional Services is seeking Armed Transportation Officers for Armed Ground Transportation Services for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in New Hampshire. $2,500 HIRING BONUS after full completion of training and successful PSD background clearance! Applicants will be contacted via phone or email within ten (10) business days of submittal.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.<ul><li>Perform transportation duties per PBNDS Standards and Training.</li><li>Ensure all detainee transports are documented and detainee records and possessions are safeguarded at all times.  Provide trip documentation to the Transportation Coordinator in a timely manner.</li><li>Notify Operations Supervisor, Transportation Coordinator and/or Project Manager of any route variations.</li><li>Ensure that any required detainee documentation is obtained from the transferring facility/agency prior to departure.</li><li>Ensure that assigned vehicle maintenance and service records are in corresponding binders.</li><li>Report any safety related transportation issues immediately and complete a vehicle repair order and give to the Supervisor in charge of Fleet Management.</li><li>Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections on your assigned vehicle prior to departing the hub.</li><li>Ensure all required equipment is present in your assigned vehicle prior to departing.  This shall include, but not limited to, first aid kits, insurance card, flares, security devices, etc.  (See equipment list assigned to each vehicle.)</li><li>Report for work at your scheduled time (assigned by Operations Supervisor daily). </li><li>If assigned to a stationary guard post, such as hospital duty, ensure compliance with Post Orders and hospital protocol.</li><li>Ensure you have in your possession at all times; guard card, weapons permit, ICE ID, Company ID, medical card (if applicable).</li><li>Complete post vehicle check at the completion of your assignment.</li><li>Forward any gas receipts to the Supervisor in charge of Fleet Management.</li><li>Report any accidents, incidents and/or injuries associated with your transportation duties.  Complete any required incident reports and/or documentation prior to your departure.</li><li>Complete a Record of Presence (ROP), equipment and key sign in/out sheet and all associated paperwork necessary on a daily basis</li><li>Transport Officers are required to maintain a valid Armed Guard/Firearms permit as part of their qualifications to perform transport duties. Maintenance includes passing the periodic firearms recertification. Officers who fail to maintain their armed guard/firearms permit may not be assigned to Transportation duties.</li><li>The Contractor shall certify proficiency every quarter. Training curriculum shall include Use of Force training, Tactics, Weapon Safety, and Range Qualifications.</li><li>All Armed Officers are required to recertify with their issued duty handgun at periodicities set forth in the Federal contract or state requirements. Officers must achieve a minimum score of 200 or 80% out of 250 points and must demonstrate safe handling and manipulation of their weapon (or as mandated by state requirements).</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.
