Applicants will be notified via email or phone regarding application status. Essential Duties & Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform transportation duties per PBNDS Standards and Training.</li><li>Ensure all detainee transports are documented and detainee records and possessions are safeguarded at all times.  Provide trip documentation to the Transportation Coordinator in a timely manner.</li><li>Notify Operations Supervisor, Transportation Coordinator and/or Project Manager of any route variations.</li><li>Ensure that any required detainee documentation is obtained from the transferring facility/agency prior to departure.</li><li>Ensure that assigned vehicle maintenance and service records are in corresponding binders.</li><li>Report any safety related transportation issues immediately and complete a vehicle repair order and give to the Supervisor in charge of Fleet Management.</li><li>Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections on your assigned vehicle prior to departing the hub.</li><li>Ensure all required equipment is present in your assigned vehicle prior to departing.  This shall include, but not limited to, first aid kits, insurance card, flares, security devices, etc.  (See equipment list assigned to each vehicle.)</li><li>Report for work at your scheduled time (assigned by Operations Supervisor daily). </li><li>If assigned to a stationary guard post, such as hospital duty, ensure compliance with Post Orders and hospital protocol.</li><li>Ensure you have in your possession at all times; guard card, weapons permit, ICE ID, Company ID, medical card (if applicable).</li><li>Complete post vehicle check at the completion of your assignment.</li><li>Forward any gas receipts to the Supervisor in charge of Fleet Management.</li><li>Report any accidents, incidents and/or injuries associated with your transportation duties.  Complete any required incident reports and/or documentation prior to your departure.</li><li>Complete a Record of Presence (ROP), equipment and key sign in/out sheet and all associated paperwork necessary on a daily basis</li><li>Transport Officers are required to maintain a valid Armed Guard/Firearms permit as part of their qualifications to perform transport duties. Maintenance includes passing the periodic firearms recertification. Officers who fail to maintain their armed guard/firearms permit may not be assigned to Transportation duties.</li><li>The Contractor shall certify proficiency every quarter. Training curriculum shall include Use of Force training, Tactics, Weapon Safety, and Range Qualifications.</li><li>All Armed Officers are required to recertify with their issued duty handgun at periodicities set forth in the Federal contract or state requirements. Officers must achieve a minimum score of 200 or 80% out of 250 points and must demonstrate safe handling and manipulation of their weapon (or as mandated by state requirements).</li></ul>Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications <ul><li>Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent</li></ul><ul><li>Level of Experience Requirements: Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a Law Enforcement Officer and/or Military Police Officer or six (6) months experience as a security officer engaged in functions related to detailing civil or administrative detainees or, two (2) years active-duty military service with an honorable discharge.</li><li>Current federal background investigation and access or ability to obtain (e-Qip).</li></ul> Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics <ul><li>Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.</li><li>Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and data entry.</li><li>Effective organizational skills.</li></ul> Preferred <ul><li>Possession of a valid Massachusetts Wear Carry Permit</li><li>Possession of a valid Massachusetts Security Guard Certification</li><li>Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License for the state you reside in</li></ul> Necessary Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
