p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: A speech-language pathologist is expected to have a broad base of knowledge and skills in a number of areas, but not limited to:
• Normal and disordered speech and language development • The diagnostic process • Therapeutic interventions and techniques • School achievement • Various disabilities of childhood and adolescence • Child development. This includes participation in multidisciplinary team meetings, annual review meetings, case study conferences, parent conferences, IEP meetings, and consultation/collaboration with teachers and others providing services specific to students.
