This year our preference is for in-person or hybrid teaching. Course teaching could be undergraduate or graduate level, and include, but are not limited to, speech sound disorders, audiology, neurology, speech and hearing communication science. Clinical supervision opportunities are also available at our Nevada State on-campus clinic and/or our RiteCare clinic in downtown Las Vegas. Courses range from 1-3 credits.Teaching and Practicum Supervision Positions:The School of Education is committed to hands-on learning, predicated upon application-based and student-centered instruction. Incumbents must be effective communicators who are able to present content using authentic examples, challenge students to think critically, differentiate instruction, and teach in a multi-modal fashion. They will be able to scaffold instruction effectively by providing prompts and cues to help students understand content and apply the skills, as well as use a variety of resources to teach classes (e.g., videos, online simulations, guest speakers, clinical case studies, application).Successful applicants will be proficient in presenting content and engaging students effectively online and/or in person and assessing students' progress/effectiveness. They will demonstrate a commitment to planning and preparation of their courses.Successful applicants will be strong communicators with effective mentoring skills, who are committed to preparing excellent speech and language pathologists.
