Responsibilities:
<p style="margin:0px">This position requires heavy physical duties involving a variety of tasks associated with asphalt milling and paving which are generally either semi-skilled or skilled in nature. Duties will vary depending on the type of work assigned to the crew. A laborer can become a specialist within a crew such as Screed Person, Lute person, QC Tech, Side Person (mill), Tack Truck Driver, Water Truck Driver, Utility adjustment person etc.</p><p style="margin:0px"> </p><p style="margin:0px">Overnight stays may be required on occasion. Night and Weekend work shifts are common throughout the normal milling and paving season.</p><ul><li>Performs duties involving shoveling, raking, luting, jack hammering, heavy lifting and the use of multiple small tools involved with asphalt milling and paving.</li><li>Cleans tools, materials and work areas.</li><li>Performs a wide variety of manual tasks involving fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination.</li><li>Performs all tasks in a safe manner with complete respect for individual and crew safety.</li><li>Clearly communicates with other crew members to ensure safety, teamwork and completion of daily goals set by the field manager.</li><li>To completely perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Paving Technician

Makes daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle in order to maintain maximum vehicle safety conditions and to check for any damaged or work parts or for any signs of tampering. Responsibilities:
<p style="margin:0px">This position drives truck equipped with water and keeps proper level on all equipment assigned to the driver. Conducts all work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and programs.</p><ul><li>Makes daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle in order to maintain maximum vehicle safety conditions and to check for any damaged or work parts or for any signs of tampering. Must report all problems found to the shop immediately.</li><li>Drives tanker truck to predetermined destinations applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and of roads in the area.</li><li>Work with Paving Crews, Spray Bituminous Tack-Coat.</li><li>Maintains a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy.</li><li>Communicates any problems with traffic or with site conditions are reported promptly. This role is fast paced and requires someone who can take ownership of their work, make informed decisions, and coordinate with and direct the activities of all job site crews, subcontractors, and material and equipment providers. Administers timely and accurate documentation for project-related activities including change orders, time and materials, purchase orders, daily job control reports and receiving slips/invoices.

<p style="margin:0px">The Paving Field Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of paving operations on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paving techniques, materials, equipment operation, team leadership, and safety protocols. The Paving Field Manager will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure the successful completion of paving projects within established timelines and quality standards. They will be responsible for supervising and directing assigned crew members in preparing, executing, and finishing asphalt paving projects.</p><p style="margin:0px"> </p><p style="margin:0px">This role is fast paced and requires someone who can take ownership of their work, make informed decisions, and coordinate with and direct the activities of all job site crews, subcontractors, and material and equipment providers. Additionally, the candidate must effectively interface with clients, inspectors, regulatory representatives, and other key individuals within the organization.</p><p style="margin:0px"> </p><p style="margin:0px">Responsibilities: </p><ul><li>Demonstrates technical proficiency in multiple aspects of asphalt paving.</li><li>Supervises hourly crewmembers and plans/schedules manpower and equipment as needed.</li><li>Manages deliveries from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure safety, profit, scheduling compliance and customer satisfaction.</li><li>Follows the Allan Myers Safety Program including preplanning to identify conditions and exposures, proper safety and personal protective equipment and accident investigation and reporting.</li><li>Coordinates and collaborates with other Field Managers, Superintendents, and the customer to implement successful project plans.</li><li>Provides on the job training to crewmembers for assigned tasks.</li><li>Communicates performance expectations for productivity, quality, and safety to crews and ensures progress towards expectations.</li><li>Administers timely and accurate documentation for project-related activities including change orders, time and materials, purchase orders, daily job control reports and receiving slips/invoices.</li></ul><p>Salary Range:<br/>• $85,000 - $95,000 - Based on Experience.</p>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required (continuing education in construction highly desirable).</li><li>Minimum 2 years of construction experience in at least one trade discipline (i.e., excavation, pipe, concrete, or paving) with one or more years construction supervisory experience preferred.</li><li>OSHA 10 hour required.</li><li>Valid driver’s license required.</li></ul><p style="margin:0px"> </p>
