Located in Columbia, Missouri, the University of Missouri (Mizzou) is a flagship public institution known for its vibrant campus life and strong athletic tradition within the Southeastern Conference (SEC).Job Overview:The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the HR function, including front line recruitment, employee relations, training and development, compliance, and performance management. The HR Manager plays a critical role in cultivating a positive work culture, supporting organizational growth, and ensuring HR practices align with business goals and legal requirements.Essential Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead full-cycle hourly recruitment including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.</li><li>Partner with department heads to forecast staffing needs and partnerships with NPO groups.</li><li>Coach managers on performance improvement plans and development strategies.</li><li>Identify training needs and facilitate or coordinate internal training programs.</li><li>Support payroll processing and benefits administration in collaboration with finance and payroll. </li><li>Analyze and recommend competitive compensation and benefits packages.</li><li>Handle employee inquiries regarding benefits, leaves, and compensation.</li><li>Ensure compliance with labor laws, union agreements (if applicable), and health & safety regulations.</li><li>Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.</li><li>Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and the employee handbook.</li></ul>Qualifications/Skills:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.</li><li>4+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.</li><li>Experience working in hospitality or food & beverage operations is a plus. </li><li>Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and HR best practices.</li><li>Ability to multi-task and prioritize and work successfully both independently and as part of a team. </li><li>Demonstrated success in interfacing with a variety of organizational functions and divisions to accomplish tasks. </li><li>Keen ability to connect easily with others and create positive positioning within a particular context or subject matter.</li><li>Exceptional ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.</li><li>Technologically savvy, with high proficiency in all Microsoft Office and HRIS programs.</li></ul>Why Join Sodexo Live!?At Sodexo Live!, we're proud to be experience makers, creating unforgettable moments for people across a wide range of industries and events.
