This position partners closely with leadership to support company growth and scalability.</p><div> </div></div><div> </div></div><div> </div></div></div><div><div><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Manage and process accurate, timely multi-state payroll</li><li>Maintain payroll records including deductions, garnishments, benefits, bonuses, and PTO balances</li><li>Perform payroll general ledger reconciliations and support month-end close activities in partnership with accounting</li><li>Ensure payroll tax compliance and coordinate filings with third-party providers</li><li>Own payroll and HR components of the annual budgeting process</li><li>Analyze payroll and HR-related P&L variances and provide insights to leadership</li><li>Coordinate payroll and labor reporting during monthly close and budgeting cycles</li><li>Manage unemployment claims and mitigate related risks</li><li>Onboarding and offboarding processes</li><li>Administer employee benefits and coordinate annual open enrollment</li><li>Maintain employee records and HRIS systems</li><li>Support employee relations matters and respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality</li><li>Coordinate recruiting logistics, including scheduling and candidate communications</li><li>Assist with performance management processes and HR initiatives</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws</li><li> Lead and coordinate organizational training programs</li><li>Identify and implement process improvements across HR and payroll functions</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred</li><li>HR certifications (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, etc.) preferred</li><li> 5+ years of payroll and/or HR management experience</li><li>Strong understanding of payroll processing, payroll taxes, payroll accounting, and GL integration</li><li>Experience with payroll reconciliations and month-end close processes</li><li>Solid knowledge of HR compliance and employment regulations</li><li> Experience with HRIS and payroll systems</li><li>Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, Index/Match, data analysis, reconciliations)</li><li>Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities</li><li>Experience in the construction industry</li><li>Familiarity with systems such as SAGE Intacct, SAGE ERP, ADP, Paylocity, WorkMax, or ServiceTrade</li><li>Working knowledge of accounting principles</li><li>Experience with Power BI, Power Query, or AI tools for reporting and automation</li><li>Strong process orientation with exceptional attention to detail</li></ul></div></div>
