We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our dedicated team of pharmacy professionals at this community healthcare center based, in house pharmacy. In this integrated model, the Maxor pharmacy team will work closely with providers and clinic staff collaboratively, providing team-based medicine with a strong pharmacy component to provide optimal care for patients. Prior retail pharmacy experience is required, as well as the ability to work in a fast paced, busy environment. Responsibilities:
<p style="margin-bottom:3pt"><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (These duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.  This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position):</strong></p><ol style="margin-top:0in"><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Interpret and fill drug orders.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Provide patient information and counseling.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">In the absence of store Pharmacist-In-Charge/Pharmacy Manager, may be required to act as the alternate store leader, responsible for managing ongoing functions of the pharmacy.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Contact and confer with physicians regarding questions or irregularities on prescriptions.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Dispense prescriptions, compound, and prepare I.V. admixtures (if applicable).</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies and appropriateness.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Maintain patients’ medication records.</li><li>Maintain inventory and records of controlled drugs and other drugs as required by law.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Supervise pharmacy technicians in routine performance of their duties.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Provide drug information to professional staff and patients as necessary.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Participate in inventory control programs such as ordering, inventorying and monitoring correct pricing and quantities.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Attend and participate in programs, committees, meetings, and functions as required by the facility or pharmacy.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Participate in educational programs for professional staff as necessary.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Participate in pharmacy orientation programs, pharmacy staff meetings and in-service educational programs.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Participate in activities resolving unsafe and unsanitary practices.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Exemplify excellence in customer communications and service.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Work cooperatively with other staff members to enhance the team concept.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Participate in the Performance Improvement Program.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Maintains regular attendance in accordance with established policies.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Comply with Maxor’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor’s Compliance Program.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists. </li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Complete required training and ensure the departmental staff training is completed as required. </li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Ensure staff is informed of product upgrades or enhancements in a timely manner.</li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">May assist management with hiring and training competent staff. </li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">On a biweekly basis, verify departmental timesheets for departmental employees ensuring the timesheets are accurate based on the work-schedule and necessary corrections are done prior to Payroll submission. </li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">Develop and mentor departmental staff by providing career coaching; motivate departmental staff, individually and as a group; understand and support diversity; and establish an effective team.  </li><li style="margin-bottom:2pt">May assist with conducting initial and annual performance evaluations.</li><li>Promote teamwork; discipline staff when warranted.</li></ol>

Qualifications:
