Summary Description: Under direction of the school principal and special education supervisor, the special education teacher provides direct instruction and instructional support to students with disabilities and works in collaboration with the general education teacher. Teachers employed in special education schools or discrete special education service models are required to successfully complete specific courses provided by MCPS.
