Rounding and management of inpatients including: monitoring progress, progress notes, ordering daily labs and x-rays, interpretation of labs and x-rays, appropriate consults, floor calls, assessing patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions by medical staff approved protocols, and discharge activities. Manage patient care in the ED under direct supervision of the Neurosurgeons when appropriate but limited to: performing comprehensive history and physical examinations, ordering of appropriate lab and radiographic studies, interpretation of lab and x-ray results, consults, admission/discharge orders, addressing code status.
