We're hiring steamfitters / pipefitters for our mechanical construction team fitters with a few years under their belt who are ready to run real work on real projects. You'll be on your feet, lifting 50 lbs regularly and 75-80 lbs occasionally, working in confined spaces, overhead on scaffolds, and doing plenty of stooping, bending, squatting, crawling, and kneeling.

We've grown to over 200 people across seven locations, but we've kept the small-shop feeling that's made people stay with us for 20, 30, even 37 years.</p><p>We're hiring <strong>steamfitters / pipefitters</strong> for our mechanical construction team fitters with a few years under their belt who are ready to run real work on real projects.</p><h1 style="margin-left:0in;margin-right:0in"><strong>The Work</strong></h1><div style="border-bottom:solid #e8e8e8 1pt;padding:0in 0in 4pt 0in"><p>You'll lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install piping and piping systems for <strong>steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial process</strong> applications. Mix of shop fabrication and field install on commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.</p></div><p><strong>A typical week could put you on:</strong></p><ul><li>Reading isos and prints, selecting pipe and fittings, and laying out the run</li><li>Joining pipe by threading, soldering, brazing, and welding</li><li>Securing pipe with hangers, clamps, and supports</li><li>Pressure testing systems and tracking down leaks</li><li>Fabricating new or replacement components in the shop</li><li>Working alongside other fitters, welders, and field crews to get the job done right</li></ul><p style="margin-left:0in;margin-right:0in">The work is mostly construction and install not service rotation though scheduled and emergency service does come up. Out-of-town work, weekends, and after-hours mobilization happen occasionally, with <strong>paid overtime</strong> when they do.</p><p><strong>Normal hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday</strong>, with overtime as the work demands.</p><h1 style="margin-left:0in;margin-right:0in"><strong>Why Fitters Stay at RMS</strong></h1><ul><li><strong>Family-owned, and it shows. </strong>The Rasmussens are still here. You'll be on your feet, lifting <strong>50 lbs regularly and 75-80 lbs occasionally</strong>, working in confined spaces, overhead on scaffolds, and doing plenty of stooping, bending, squatting, crawling, and kneeling.
