A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Pipe Foreman for our large heavy civil project located in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities:<ul><li style="margin-left:16px">Foreman will be expected to run main line machine for the installation of a pipe.</li><li style="margin-left:16px">Provide overall leadership and direct the activities of field crew employees. Work with field employees to increase productivity</li><li style="margin-left:16px">Oversees, instructs, and participates in the installation and repair of water mains, fire hydrants, sanitary sewer lines, etc.</li><li style="margin-left:16px">Perform any required testing for installed systems</li><li style="margin-left:16px">Responsible for crew performance in meeting quality and safety standards</li><li style="margin-left:16px">Fill out daily reports including crew member’s hours , equipment hours, appropriate cost codes, and production quantities</li><li style="margin-left:16px">Communicate effectively with Project Superintendent and Project Managers</li><li style="margin-left:16px">Participate in safety-related training programs to increase skill set and knowledge base.</li><li style="margin-left:16px">Perform jobsite quality control checks.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li style="margin-left:16px">At least 5 years of Water & Sewer Utility experience</li><li style="margin-left:16px">At least 2 years of Utility Foreman experience</li><li style="margin-left:16px">Experience in large diameter storm drains, water main, dewatering, well point system.</li><li style="margin-left:16px">FDOT experience preferred but not required</li><li style="margin-left:16px">Valid Driver’s License</li><li style="margin-left:16px">Extensive knowledge of the tools and equipment involved in utility work – such as excavators, trench boxes, pumps, backhoes, bobcats, loaders, etc.</li><li style="margin-left:16px">Ability to understand and interpret construction drawings and specs</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:16px">Ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate crew members’ work</li></ul>Certifications:<ul><li style="margin-left:16px">OSHA Safety Course Certification (30 hour)</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:16px">CPR Certification</li></ul>Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
