The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience drafting title opinions for The Bakken region. Responsibilities: <ul><li> Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of oil and gas matters, including exploration, production, transportation, and sales.</li><li> Draft title opinions highlighting defects, liens, or other issues that could impact ownership or use of the property.</li><li> Analyze documents such as leases, contracts, and deeds.</li><li> Advise on compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.</li><li> Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation and arbitration.</li><li> Collaborate with other departments to identify legal risks and develop risk management strategies.</li><li> Stay up-to-date with developments in oil and gas law and industry trends.</li><li> Provide training to other departments on relevant legal issues.</li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li> Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.</li><li> Admitted to practice law in at least one state.</li><li> 3+ of years' experience drafting title opinions covering lands in The Bakken region.</li><li> Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.</li></ul> Interested in hearing more?   Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Analyze, prepare, review, and interpret land and Right of Way agreements, deeds, easements, leases, permits, and licenses.</li><li>Research and collect real property-related project documents.</li><li>Translate data from Right of Way documents into the stakeholder management database.</li><li>Perform quality assurance reviews of stakeholder management database entries completed by Right of Way field agents.</li><li>Present technical data to the Right of Way project team.</li><li>Prepare and submit permit applications for project teams.</li><li>Prepare project status reports, technical reports, and acquisition reports for project teams and client management.</li><li>Manage document preparation and control, meeting agendas, and other project-related administrative activities.</li><li>Assist with subcontractor management, including reviewing contracts, invoices, and change orders.</li><li>Support and participate in public involvement meetings.</li><li>Perform project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities while establishing critical project objectives within defined parameters.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all company policies and standards.</li></ul>Key Requirements and Technology Experience: <ul><li>Must Have Skills: Minimum 4 years of experience in title research, property coordination, and reviewing right of way agreements.</li><li>Industry experience within Energy Infrastructure, Transmission & Distribution, Electric Utilities, Oil & Gas, Construction & Engineering Services, or related sectors.</li><li>Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related field. and 4 years Right of Way acquisition, relocation, and eminent domain experience, project management and/or real estate experience preferred. Required OR Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. </li><li>Ability to read and understand title and appraisal reports and land surveys. </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of general real estate law, understanding of real estate title work and ability to work as an effective team member.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. </li><li>Demonstrated presentation skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and ability to multi-task. </li><li>Experience with database system management and proficiency in the use of computer software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</li><li>Must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy. </li><li>Valid driver's license Required.</li><li>SR/WA designation Preferred OR Other certification from the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) Preferred OR Real Estate Broker Preferred OR Sales License.</li></ul>Our client is a leading Construction Industry and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
