This full-time position prioritizes CDL driving, product delivery, and customer service, while also supporting basic facility/equipment upkeep, shop organization, and general maintenance tasks during non-peak application periods.CDL Driving & Delivery<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li>Safely operate company CDL vehicles (tender trucks, flatbeds, tankers, or similar) in accordance with DOT regulations and Liqui-Grow safety policies.</li><li>Perform on-time delivery and pickup of agricultural products such as:<ul style="list-style-type:circle"><li>Liquid fertilizer and plant nutrition products</li><li>Seed, chemical, and agronomy supplies</li><li>Equipment, parts, and operational materials</li></ul></li><li>Complete pre-trip/post-trip inspections, identify safety concerns, and report mechanical issues promptly.</li><li>Load/unload materials safely (may include use of pumps, hoses, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment).</li><li>Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, agronomy teams, and customers regarding:<ul style="list-style-type:circle"><li>Delivery schedules, product needs, and route changes</li></ul></li><li>Provide courteous, professional customer service at each stop and represent Liqui-Grow positively in the field and at customer sites.</li></ul>Maintenance / Facility Support(Completed as needed, often during slower delivery windows or seasonal transitions.)<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li>Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks under direction (examples may include):<ul style="list-style-type:circle"><li>Greasing, checking fluids, changing filters (if trained/authorized), light mechanical support</li></ul></li><li>Help with seasonal preparation and wrap-up tasks such as:<ul style="list-style-type:circle"><li>Cleaning equipment, winterization, staging products, organizing parts and supplies</li></ul></li><li>Assist with loading/unloading, inventory movement, and site support as needed.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li>Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.</li><li>Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing requirements that may include:<ul style="list-style-type:circle"><li>DOT physical, drug/alcohol testing, and background checks (as required by role/assignment)</li></ul></li><li>Strong commitment to safety and compliance; ability to follow written and verbal instructions.</li><li>Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing schedules.</li><li>Comfortable working in outdoor environments and around agricultural products.</li><li>Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and operating equipment.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li>Prior experience in agricultural trucking, fertilizer/chemical delivery, or agronomy operations</li><li>Basic mechanical aptitude or maintenance experience.</li></ul>Work Environment & Schedule Expectations<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li>Seasonal workload fluctuations are common in agronomy; during peak seasons, expect:<ul style="list-style-type:circle"><li>Extended hours, early mornings, and occasional weekends as needed</li></ul></li></ul> #hc225927

A.  Essential Functions 1.  Provide support to plant operations and other teams on their assigned shift to ensure equipment is available as needed for production 2.  Execute urgent work orders and special projects. 3.  Work with various hand tools, power tools, welders and cutting equipment to repair plant equipment 4.  Perform sanitary and non-sanitary welding and pipe fitting, per skill level 5.  Repair, assembly and installation of sanitary and utility service valves 6.  Perform daily PMs as assigned 7.  Operate forklift and aerial lifts 8.  Help as required in the parts storeroom 9.  Contribute to plant-wide programs in safety, quality, engineering, or production 10.  May periodically be asked to serve as “on call” outside of standard scheduled hours to support critical work. During on call times, must be available via phone and to come on site as needed 11.  Basic computer skills. Experience troubleshooting and resolving more complex maintenance issues without direct oversight preferred. VII.  WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS A Maintenance Worker will be subject to working in areas of high noise level and in hazardous areas. Burn hazards may exist when working on steam powered equipment. High degree of mobility is necessary as job requires climbing, crawling, bending, and twisting. Must be comfortable working from elevated surfaces, including ladders & manlifts, sometimes at heights exceeding 20 feet above the floor. Exposure to chemicals can periodically occur. Proper PPE is provided to mitigate the impact of any on-the-job hazards, consistent with OSHA and Kerry HSE requirements. The ability to work outside for periods of time in temperatures varying from below zero to above 100°F is also required. The ability to apply force to lift heavy equipment and operate wrenches, hammers, pry bars, etc. and apply sufficient force to tighten large nuts and bolts is also required. The ability to regularly lift 25 lbs. is required as well as the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. The pay range for this position is $22 - $26 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role.
