A successful candidate would have strong background in physics and technology of particle accelerators, nuclear physics, plasma physics, or related field, coupled with solid experience in designing, manufacturing, and integrating the accelerators hardware, as well as in operating and troubleshooting of particle accelerators. Perform simulation of physical processes related to development of commercial accelerators: beam transport, heat transport, interaction of particles and radiation with matter, electromagnetic fields, nuclear processes and activation, pressure distribution and gas pumping, etc.
