We are focused on investing in our people and creating a culture that values recognition, rewards, transparency, and open communication while building employees' careers at Master Halco to fully leverage their potential.ResponsibilitiesLeadership:<ul><li>Guide the Branch associates and leaders, build effective teams and be a resource and role model</li><li>Provide excellent leadership, support, tools, and resources to ensure associates have what they need to excel in their positions</li><li>Identify areas for improvement and work with all levels of associates to coach, mentor and train them to be proficient in their roles</li><li>Safety program champion for the branch</li><li>Lead technological advancements and continuous improvement projects</li><li>Hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, mentoring and if needed disciplinary action of operational roles as needed</li><li>Act as the Manager on Duty in the absence of the Branch Manager</li></ul>Accountabilities / Responsibilities:<ul><li>Directly manage an operations team who is responsible for receiving, shipping, inventory management, fabrication and customer service levels</li><li>Ensure the branch provides an elevated level of customer service using “The Master Halco Way”</li><li>Maintain clean, safe, and efficient facilities and equipment that meet company standards</li><li>Act as the safety leader for the region ensuring all safety standards and goals are met</li><li>Ensure that proper SOPs and Company policies are followed</li><li>Identify and execute cost optimization and reduction strategies in areas such as overtime, trucking, material handling efficiency, process flow and more</li><li>Identify, create and or implement continuous improvement projects as needed</li><li>Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's objectives</li><li>Champion technological enhancements to the business such as RFID inventory management</li><li>Able to perform hands on operations tasks as needed</li><li>Special projects as assigned by Branch Manager</li></ul>QualificationsCANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONKey Competencies<ul><li>Strategic Skills: Determines operational improvement opportunities through comprehensive analysis of current and desired status and gaps; comprehends the big picture</li><li>Resourcefulness/Initiative: Passionately finds ways over, around, or through barriers to success; achieves results despite lack of resources; goes beyond the call of duty; takes timely action; a purposeful leader who can achieve results through a team</li><li>Customer Focus: Builds and maintains elevated levels of trust and credibility always demonstrating a customer serving mindset</li><li>Change Leadership: Actively intervenes to create and energize positive change; leads by example</li></ul>Essential Qualifications<ul><li>Exceptional leadership in team building, and relationship building skills</li><li>Proven success in daily business operations</li><li>Ability to motivate and positively influence people</li><li>Strong business acumen, and technical skills</li><li>Ability to lead and motivate a team made up of managers and salespeople</li><li>Ability to understand, manage and influence the P&L to achieve company financial goals</li><li>Exceptional organizational, time management, multi-tasking skills and administrative skills</li><li>Driven and results oriented; drives KPIs, and market expansion to meet company goals</li><li>Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization</li></ul>Required Education and Experience<ul><li>High School Graduate or associate's degree, two-year college, or technical school with equivalent work experience</li><li>At least five (5) years' relevant work experience in warehouse or yard operations, with two (2) plus years of experience in operations leadership</li><li>Excellent Computer Skills: Outlook Email, Excel, Word, ERP system experience</li></ul>Physical DemandsThis job requires the ability to sit, climb, stand, lift and/or move.Reasonable Accommodations StatementTo accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily.
