This is a part-time, seasonal, salaried position located in Parachute, CO. Resumes will be accepted until the position is filled.    Job Description and Qualifications: - Assist in effective operation and management of the volleyball program, which would include, but not limited to planning, organizing, safety, and promoting the Grand Valley Volleyball Team, Activities Department, and PEG League rules. - Support assistant coach in teaching coaching, strategies, skills and knowledge of volleyball to athletes. - Support communication and build quality relationships with student participants, parents, and community in general. - Provide a safe and nurturing environment for athletes during practice and games. - To assist the student athlete in the areas of academic excellence, eligibility, and provide an atmosphere of personal growth. - A genuine commitment and work ethic to Grand Valley Middle School philosophies, students, staff and surrounding community. - Supervise students before, during and after practice until parent/guardian arrives to pick up the athlete.   Desired qualifications: - Skills related to coaching, teaching, and mentoring athletes. - Knowledge of PEG League rules and regulations. - Knowledge and management of sports related injuries.   Required qualifications: (District will help with requirements once hired): - Must have a current First Aid/CPR/AED certification. - Must have Concussion certification from the NFHS. - Must complete school district small vehicle training. - Must complete the Mandatory Reporter Training - Must complete Medication Delegation   EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: In compliance with Titles VI & VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008, and Colorado law, Garfield County School District No.16 does not unlawfully discriminate against otherwise qualified students, employees, applicants for employment, or members of the public on the basis of disability, race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, national origin, religion, ancestry, family composition, or need for special education services.
