p>School or Community Relations: Articulate the schools mission to the community and solicit support in realizing the mission Demonstrate awareness of school and community needs and initiate activities to meet those needs Use appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and parent involvement Be positive, patient, and friendly with students, staff, parents, and community members in support of the District Communicate effectively, verbal and written Answer telephone calls and e-mails promptly Maintain positive interaction with students, staff, fellow employees, parents, and community members Be willing to show empathy towards students, staff, parents, peers, and community members Ability to resolve issues, concerns, and troubleshoot as applicable. Student Management: Ensure that students are adequately supervised during non-instructional periods Help to develop a student discipline management system that results in positive student behavior Ensure that school rules are uniformly observed and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable Conduct conferences on student and school issues with parents, students, and teachers.
