Position Summary:
The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for entering purchase orders for all raw materials, packaging, and non-stock items for the facility. This includes responsibility for inventory control of all production packaging for the Toluca Plant.  Essential functions include Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) for all packaging, purchasing packaging according to Ajinomoto guidelines, and providing all required packaging to Production.  Strong collaboration with Operations, the Production Scheduler, and the Raw Materials Buyer will be critical to meeting business goals. 

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 <ul style="margin-top:0in"><li style="color:black">Manage procurement of labels, film, packaging, and shipping materials to meet company production and distribution needs.</li><li style="color:black">Collaborate with the Production Scheduler and Raw Materials Buyer to align the purchasing of required packaging with the production schedule and availability of raw materials.</li><li style="color:black">Collaborate with the Raw Materials Buyer to enter needed raw material purchase orders and follow up when necessary.</li></ul><ul><li>Review the Materials Requirement Plan (MRP) versus current inventories and submit purchase orders and releases.</li><li>Release all packaging pre-stage labels and distribute packing reports to meet production demands.</li><li>Create and provide monthly inventories of aged or slow moving material to the Materials Manager.</li><li>Review all packaging items on discontinued finished goods items and notify affected departments.</li><li>Manage label inventory moves to and from PRD daily.</li><li>Review inventory locations daily and ensure proper rotation of materials.</li><li>Use JDE to enter and maintain purchase orders to ensure items, amounts and delivery dates are accurate.</li><li>Collaborate with Product Introduction Manager, Materials Manager, and Shift Managers to communicate and ensure accurate packaging use for new product launches and packaging updates.</li></ul><ul><li style="color:black">Monitor and make suggestions to improve packaging vendor performance.</li><li style="color:black">Confirm price, quantity and schedule delivery date with vendor, warehouse and carriers for every order.</li><li style="color:black">Confirm orders with vendors and update purchase orders as needed so information can flow appropriately to Finance and Warehouse departments for receiving, accounts payable, and to facilitate improved planning.</li><li style="color:black">Analyze upcoming orders to minimize freight costs by consolidating orders and maximizing order cycles.</li><li style="color:black">Follow-up and confirm daily and long lead delivery schedules with vendor/suppliers and carriers to ensure that deliveries occur to meet production schedules.</li><li style="color:black">Reconcile invoicing errors and provide back-up documentation for inventory movement to accounts payable within invoice terms and for month-end closing.</li><li style="color:black">Drive and support Continuous Improvement focus by helping identify and eliminating waste, making packaging pricing recommendations, and solving packaging issues.</li></ul><ul><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul>

Position Qualifications:
 <ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>High school diploma and 3-5 years in production or purchasing experience in a USDA food manufacturing facility preferred.  Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study strongly preferred. </li></ul><ul><li>Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.</li><li>Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and activities with a high attention to detail. </li></ul><ul><li>High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to problems involving several variables in standardized and unstandardized situations</li><li>Strong computer skills including JDE, Microsoft Outlook and Office, specifically Microsoft Excel</li></ul>

This role is a critical member of the Plant Management Team and is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all plant and facility equipment as well as the technical direction of the Maintenance Staff. The Maintenance Manager is also responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) that are in effect, assuring the safety, quality and quantity of product produced. The salary range for this position is $100,000k - 135,000k per year. 

Responsibilities:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Oversee Maintenance activities to include; electrical and mechanical servicing, maintenance and fabrication of production machinery and equipment, company owned utilities, and plant grounds.</li><li>Provides guidance, direction, and motivation to Maintenance and Operations to encourage ownership of results at all levels.</li><li>Manage critical components of Maintenance, including Preventive Maintenance programs, parts and storeroom operations, Clean/Inspect/Lubricate programs, etc.</li><li>Oversee and administer all aspects of plant’s CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), including Work Orders, Preventive Maintenance, Parts Procurement and Parts Inventory.</li><li>Advance the department culture with an integrated approach to maintenance, based on teamwork and cooperation.</li><li>Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to assess Maintenance Technician performance and provide coaching and training as required.</li><li>Oversee Maintenance schedules and assignments for work activities, based on work priority.</li><li>Ensure work flow and productivity of the Maintenance, Purchasing and Parts functions is completed and maintained.</li><li>Monitor in progress work being completed to understand status of ongoing work, including delays and overruns.</li><li>Assist and lead the planning and installation of plant improvements and capital projects.</li><li>Review the needs of the equipment and systems down time to coordinate and perform maintenance with the production management team.</li><li>Develop work procedures for maintenance jobs with necessary information; including skills, tasks, parts, tools, auxiliary equipment, contractors, and estimated time required.</li><li>Work with maintenance supervisor, tradesmen, operations and production scheduling to coordinate maintenance shutdown schedule with the production schedule</li><li>Support plant environmental programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local regulations.</li><li>Promote and maintain a safe work environment through compliance with plant safety programs.</li><li>Perform all other work as required by the Company.</li></ul>#INDTOL

Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li> Associates Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or other technical field with three years of managerial experience, or 5+ years of progressive maintenance experience required.</li><li> Detailed knowledge of mechanical and electrical machine repair, PLC, preventative maintenance, HVAC, as well as the safe and efficient operation of plant utilities, such as boilers and chillers is required.</li><li> Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.</li><li> Prior maintenance experience in a food manufacturing setting is preferred.</li><li> Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate at all levels with internal employees and leaders and externally with outside consultants and suppliers.</li><li> Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written required.</li><li> Ability to interact and to manage conflict while maintaining composure and perspective.</li><li> Strong initiative and the ability to work with others to achieve desired results.</li><li> Working knowledge of MRO materials and equipment</li><li> Working knowledge of CMMS (MP2) (JDE) systems</li><li> Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word</li><li> Experienced in mechanical and electrical blueprints/drawings</li><li>#INDTOL</li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, climb stairs and ladders, and reach with hands and arms.
