The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with purchasing and administrative related tasks. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. <ul><li>Assist with Procurement Director’s workload, act as a gate keeper and internal/external contact.</li><li>Perform buying duties when necessary.</li><li>Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests.</li><li>Compare suppliers' bills with bids and purchase orders to verify accuracy.</li><li>Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and price lists.</li><li>Check shipments when they arrive to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet specifications.</li><li>Communicate with vendors on behalf of Procurement Director as needed.</li><li>Build in new item codes into payroll database.</li><li>Match packing slips to invoices before passing them on to A/P.</li><li>Resolve invoice, statement, and payment issues.</li><li>Take inventory of office supplies order, sort and distribute as needed.</li><li>Collaborate effectively and professionally with both external (i.e. vendors) and internal (i.e. A/P) departments.</li><li>Ability to think analytically and represent Procurement Director in his or her absence or emergency situations.</li><li>Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing information.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality of operations department and company information.</li><li>Comply with I.S.O. 9000:2015 operations work instructions, contracts, safety program, and Company established policies and procedures.</li><li>Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to the Procurement Director with recommendation for resolution.</li><li>Perform additional assignments as required by the operating needs of the company or as directed by executives.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
