Tests web portals and applications built on Microsoft Power Pages and Azure-based platforms to ensure secure, reliable, and user-friendly experiences. Supports quality assurance efforts for both custom-developed and vendor software solutions using manual and automated testing approaches. Collaborates with developers, business analysts, and platform teams within Agile delivery teams to validate functionality and improve product quality. Leads or mentors less experienced testers while helping define QA standards and automation strategies. Ensures applications maximize business value by validating performance, usability, accessibility, and security compliance.Education & Experience Required: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent professional experience. • U.S. Citizenship required. • Ability to obtain and maintain favorable interim and final Department of Defense background investigation clearance. • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or software testing roles. • Experience performing manual and automated testing for web-based applications and APIs. • Experience developing and maintaining test cases and scripts using tools such as ALM or JIRA. • Experience working with automated testing tools such as Katalon RTE, TOSCA, and Selenium. • Experience working with accessibility testing tools such as JAWS and WAVE. • Experience establishing quality assurance standards and testing processes. • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and Jira issue tracking. • 1+ year automating web applications and APIs. Preferred: • 7+ years of QA or software testing experience. • 3+ years working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins. • 3+ years testing ETL processes and writing/executing SQL queries. • Experience testing Microsoft Power Platform solutions including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages. • Experience in healthcare industry environments. • Experience developing and documenting testing strategies and frameworks. • Familiarity with jQuery, JavaScript, or Java-based applications. • Experience performing performance, load, and stress testing. • Experience testing authentication and role-based access using Azure AD B2C or OAuth. • QA certification such as ISTQB Foundation preferred.Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for portal and web-based applications. • Perform functional, regression, integration, usability, accessibility, and performance testing. • Validate workflows, user roles, permissions, and integrations with Dataverse and external systems. • Test API integrations and portal performance across browsers and devices. • Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira. • Support user acceptance testing and assist business stakeholders during validation phases. • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG) and security best practices. • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives. • Develop and expand automated testing coverage using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, TOSCA, or Power Automate. • Analyze performance and stress testing results and recommend improvements. • Coordinate defect tracking and resolution activities across teams. • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA team members. • Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to support CI/CD testing and deployment validation. • Prepare reports and communicate testing progress and results to project leadership. • Support vendor application testing and platform upgrades. • Maintain documentation and assist with training and user support activities. • Perform other duties as assigned and participate in on-call or deployment support as needed.Competencies Commitment to Task: Ability to conform to established policies and procedures; exhibit high motivation. The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is responsible for analyzing the efficiency and effectiveness of individual case analysts.Key Responsibilities:The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is responsible for analyzing the efficiency and effectiveness of individual case analysts. To accomplish this, the QA Specialist reviews cases, emails, and recorded telephonic interactions and evaluates them for compliance to standardized process requirements. Requirements involve confirming that activity efforts align with casework expectations and outcome. Activities may include discerning soft skills in phone calls and clear communication in emails.
