tapes, tape measures, and visual checks to make certain that the product is staying in the proper specifications.6.Start up and shut down an extrusion line.7.Makes proper machine adjustments with speed dial controls, heat controllers and various other controls.8.Pushes buttons, turns knobs and depresses pedals to activate and adjust equipment.9.Observes machine operations to detect product defects or machine malfunctions to ensure a safeworking environment.10.Performs minor maintenance such as changing filters, and cleaning up equipment and work areas.11.Assists in setting up machines for product changeovers and machine shut downs.12.Prepare production reports and maintain records of machine settings on appropriate sheets.13.Performs proper quality control tests and measurements and logs proper data to a quality controlspecification sheet.14.Enters all production data on appropriate sheets.15.Properly packages finished products and transports it to an outside pad area using a forklift.16.Assists other operators when needed and works successfully in self managed work teams.17.Attends required training sessions and wears the required safety equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and other safety equipment that might be required for certain jobs.18.Be responsible for training and supervision of temporary workers and new hires.
