We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Events Coordinator to support our Events, Sales, and Marketing teams in delivering exceptional experiences for our guests and clients. Position SummaryThe Events Coordinator plays a key support role in the planning process. This position works closely with Sales, Catering, Marketing, Banquets, and Operations to ensure seamless communication and accurate documentation.This is an ideal opportunity for a highly organized, proactive hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced resort environment and enjoys working with events. Pay Range: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour, non-exemptKey Responsibilities Event & Sales Support<ul><li>Assist in coordinating weddings, corporate meetings, group events, and social functions. </li><li>Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), room diagrams, timelines, and internal documentation. </li><li>Communicate event details clearly with operational departments. </li><li>Support site visits, tastings, and client meetings as needed. </li><li>Ensure contracts, deposits, and event documentation are tracked accurately. </li></ul>Marketing Collaboration<ul><li>Partner with Marketing on event promotions, social media content, and resort activations. </li><li>Help maintain updated event collateral and promotional materials. </li><li>Orders according to brand standards </li></ul>Administrative & Operational Support<ul><li>Maintain accurate event files and CRM records and answers incoming calls </li><li>Assist with reporting, event forecasting, and revenue tracking. </li><li>Respond to event inquiries in a timely and professional manner. </li><li>Coordinate with vendors and external partners as needed. </li></ul> Qualifications<ul><li>1–3 years of experience in hospitality, events, catering, sales, or marketing. </li><li>Resort or hotel experience strongly preferred. </li><li>Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication abilities. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with event management or CRM systems preferred. </li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when events require. </li><li>Professional demeanor with strong client-facing skills. </li></ul>Skills & Competencies<ul><li>Detail-oriented and highly organized </li><li>Creative problem solver </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment </li><li>Strong collaboration skills across departments </li><li>Passion for hospitality and guest experience </li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Ability to stand/walk for extended periods during events. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. </li><li>Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a resort environment. </li></ul>Our Property:Captiva Island has been the destination of choice for generations of families.
