The Health Promotion Coordinator works in conjunction with hospital staff and community organizations to identify health trends and risk factors that are representative of the larger regional community and uses this data to develop educational tools for patients, families, staff, and the community about healthy lifestyle choices that promote optimal child growth and development, as well as risky behaviors that can compromise health. In conjunction with the Center team, assists in providing training and resources to healthcare providers in the service area; receive referrals of high-risk, interested families from providers and assist referred families in accessing resources, support groups, health events, and other opportunities for supporting healthy children and families.
