The Washington State Universitycampus bookstore is looking for a driven undergraduate student to join our team as a Student CMO (Campus Marketing Officer – Marketing Intern) for the 2026–2027 academic year. The Washington State University campus bookstore is looking for a driven undergraduate student to join our team as a Student CMO (Campus Marketing Officer – Marketing Intern) for the 2026–2027 academic year. This is a hands-on opportunity to build real-world marketing experience while helping shape the student experience on campus. From creating engaging social content to promoting bookstore events and student initiatives, you’ll play a key role in bringing the bookstore brand to life.

Overview:
This role offers valuable experience in digital marketing, brand strategy, content creation, experiential marketing, and consumer engagement within a fast-paced retail environment.<ul style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0px"><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0px;font-size:10pt;font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva'">Create engaging social media and digital content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. </li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0px;font-size:10pt;font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva'">Help plan and execute student-focused marketing campaigns, promotions, and events. </li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0px;font-size:10pt;font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva'">Support experiential marketing efforts including author visits, bookstore activations, giveaways, and student programs. </li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0px;font-size:10pt;font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva'">Research marketing trends and help identify new ways to connect with students and grow engagement. </li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0px;font-size:10pt;font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva'">Collaborate with bookstore leadership and campus partners on creative campaigns and special projects. </li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0px;font-size:10pt;font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva'">Assist with marketing strategy development and brand-building initiatives. </li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0px;font-size:12pt;font-family:'aptos' , sans-serif">Support additional marketing and promotional efforts as needed. </li></ul>

Responsibilities:
<ul style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0px"><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0px;font-size:10pt;font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva'">Current undergraduate student at Washington State University majoring in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. </li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0px;font-size:10pt;font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva'">Strong communication and storytelling skills with an eye for engaging content. </li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0px;font-size:10pt;font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva'">Passion for social media, branding, and campus engagement. </li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0px;font-size:10pt;font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva'">Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects. </li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0px;font-size:10pt;font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva'">Self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively. </li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0px;font-size:10pt;font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva'">Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools is a plus. </li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0px;font-size:10pt;font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva'">Previous marketing, retail, or campus involvement experience is helpful but not required. </li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0px;font-size:12pt;font-family:'aptos' , sans-serif">Ability to commit for at least 6 months; full academic year preferred.</li></ul>  Washington Pay Transparency Information (Only applicable in Washington stores):Pay Rate: $17.00/hr.
