This position has been designated by the department to require a background check because it requires access to children or vulnerable adults as defined by https://apps.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=74.34, engages in law enforcement, requires security clearance, interacts with WSU students in a counseling or advising capacity, has access to personal identifying and/or financial information, unsupervised access to university buildings/property, or other business-related need. This includes serving as the primary point of contact for the Vice Provost with both internal and external constituencies; assists and represents the Vice Provost in communicating with constituents; researches, prioritizes, and follows-up on multiple issues and concerns addressed to the office principal, including those of a sensitive and/or confidential nature; manages a variety of special projects for the department, Student Affairs Division, Campus/University.
