<p><strong>Summary </strong></p><p>The Inpatient Behavioral Health RN is responsible for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises, psychiatric disorders, and/or substance use issues in an inpatient hospital setting. This role involves comprehensive assessment, therapeutic intervention, crisis management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans.</p><p><strong>Type:</strong> Hospital inpatient Behavioral Health </p><p><strong>Schedule</strong>: 7pm-7:30am</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul class="list-disc pl-8"><li><p>Conduct initial and ongoing psychiatric and medical assessments of patients.</p></li><li><p>Monitor and evaluate patient progress, behaviors, and responses to treatment.</p></li><li><p>Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.</p></li><li><p>Provide emotional support, patient education, and de-escalation during crisis situations.</p></li><li><p>Lead or support therapeutic group activities and educational sessions.</p></li><li><p>Ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment by enforcing unit rules and safety protocols.</p></li><li><p>Accurately document patient care, behaviors, and interventions in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies.</p></li><li><p>Participate in treatment planning, discharge planning, and family education as needed.</p></li><li><p>Maintain knowledge of trauma-informed care, behavioral health interventions, and evidence-based practices.</p></li><li><p>Other duties as assigned.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul class="list-disc pl-8"><li><p>Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.</p></li><li><p>BLS/CPR certification required; additional certifications (e.g., CPI, ACLS) preferred.</p></li><li><p>Previous experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, or related nursing field preferred.</p></li><li><p>Strong communication, critical thinking, and crisis intervention skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with a diverse patient population.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Type</strong>: full-time contract employment 13-14 weeks with possibility to extend</p><p/><p><strong>If you're interested, please reply to this advertisement or directly email your resume to me at DSalgado@teemagroup.com or by calling/texting (949) 295-5951.</strong></p><p><strong>I strive to reply within 48 hours.
